Pauly - glad you had an uneventful day too. Pretty nice for a change. :rotlf:
So - there are a few peeps here that are just a little younger than me. Do any of you remember watching the old movies every weekend - I think it was called The Sunday matinee? Shirley Temple, Elvis Presley, Cary Grant. That was so great. Had a flashback of those times today. Fun!"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Good Evening, Friends!!
Nora-uneventful days are sometimes the best. That sums up my day...uneventful. Studying, exercising...and oh, I took a marathon nap. :-)
Techie!:heartbeat:So great to see you, love! How are you feeling?
Mr.V-how are you doing?
Liz-we are all anxious to hear about the shower.
Pauly-Oh I Loved GREASE! I can't tell you how many times I've seen it, and I love that song.
Ok, time for a shower and then bed. I won't be checking in much until after this class is over.
I hope everyone had a peaceful day.

Aw...thanks, Nora. :-) I will be lurking if I'm not posting. Ha ha! Hope your mom had a good day, too! I felt sad when you said you don't know how long she will be with you. I think the same thing about my mom. I think of you so often during the day because both our mothers are very elderly and yet there is no one we love more in this world, right? Of course, you probably love your son and your husband more but for me it's definitely my mom. You can always call or text me if you need moral support. OK, eyelids are getting heavy. Night night.

Glassie - I wish you were online right no. I am having so much fun looking back at the hits of 1973. I must have been 14? I can remember singing along to these so many times.
Billboard Year-End Hot 100 Singles 1973
I still have the 45 of Vicki Lawrence singing 'The Nights the Lights Went Out in Georgia' !!!"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Some of those song titles bring back such huge memories! There's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes
You can dig the ventilation... or you can sing the blues
I didn't come this far to only come this far.

Wow, some great music on that list, Nora! High School for me. I even saw Paul McCarty and Wings, and Edgar Winters in concert.
Although I never did see Grease, I could not stand John Revolta, I mean Travolta, LOL. To each their own. (no judgement, really). Actually it was more the whole disco scene I did not like, even though Grease was set in a different time period.
I did sit and have a beer one time with Olivia Newton-John at the Kentucky Derby one year in the early 80's, That was memorable. lol!
Hi Rusty! I'm doing OK, just need to stay away from the booze, it's starting to creep back in, need to stay put here. I also need to lose about 25 pounds of extra weight. ugh. The extra empty calories of beer sure don't help with that.
Maybe a bike ride today. It's perfect weather for that now.
Off to pick-up DS at the airport, he's been out over a week with work.
Later all,
Mr V
