Good morning everyone. Think GMAE, means good morning afternoon evening Tabs but I could be wrong. Love that expression Mary, gave me a laugh. Big hugs Satz, all you can do is one day at a time, be proud that you are sober facing into it. Are you still off on the bike Molly? Had planned on going on long hill walk but Baltic and raining here so back in bed with book and cup of tea ☕️

I used to have 'write off days' when I literally didn't have the ability to get off of the sofa for the day, especially on a Sunday.

God how sad is that - when did it become about the parents & getting drunk ?
Why does EVERYTHING have to be surrounded with alcohol. It's getting scary that we are now rearing another generation that know nothing else.
T'was bad enough in our kids' day but there was no alcohol involved at communion :egad:

Mary you are giving such a great gift to your kids - when everything is not about alcohol for you..... :heart:

Morning from the sinner among you........christened but never confirmed. Neither are the kids there's just Mr JC who's saintly. Its normally our teens for proddies when we get to do communion classes and tbh being a teenager is so much more important and squeezing spots seem like a better way to spend 2 hours a week.

Ahh, Satz, love........its sad, very sad that the world revolves around booze today that and the internet.

Mine is ...- fecking apostrophes everywhere there is an 'S' - drives me nuts.
It's creeping in but here we are all of an age to know better

Rule: Only use the apostrophe to show possession. To show possession with a singular noun, add an apostrophe plus the letter s.

a woman's hat
the boss's wife
Mrs. Chang's house
Do not use an apostrophe + s to make a regular noun plural.

And even worse, for me, is the incorrect placing of the apostrophe before the "s" when using a plural possessive!

... 'Please may I have' which is now 'Can I get'.......

That one, Jackie, is my pet hate, especially in the restaurant. I'd love to answer a customer correctly....

Customer: "Can I get a coke?"
Waiter: "No, but I can get one for you"

Customer: "Can I get a beef stroganoff?"
Waiter: "Yes, but I think you're going to upset the chef when you go in to the kitchen"
