There are no words that can adequately describe the low-life that caused the atrocity in Manchester. Several people from the Company I used to work for had children at the Concert. Thank God they are all ok although, without exception, very shaken up by the whole thing.

[MENTION=23019]tonyniceday[/MENTION]...........saw that your wife got well hammered. Mr JC did that about 7/8 months into my sobriety. He went out with a couple of lads he'd been at Uni with..........I knew he'd come back shitfaced but I wasn't prepared for how shitfaced he'd be. He texted to say he was going to very late (or early ......3am when he finally got in)........I texted back that if he was going to be that late please could he sleep on the settee.....anyhoo at 3am large man plonks himself in bed and snores loud enough to wake the dead.........that is after banging off the walls, telling me what an excellent night it was, how they were going to do it again soon while absolutely stinking of alcohol.

I thought after all the years of me passing out, weeping because well just because, that my life was awful, basically being a complete mess that I deserved it. After having a ponder I realised no I didn't. I was working my hardest to change my ways.

We talked and then talked some more. I told him its not that I mind that every now and again he'll have a blow out but he had to respect my feelings.........can't remember half the conversation but I don't think he'd realised how much my sobriety meant to me........not drinking wasn't just picking up a drink.........my whole life was changing. It could have driven us apart.

Think I'm trying to say that talking is important.

We've got 3 birthdays in June in 10 days and funnily enough we're in Scotland for one of them.
