Just back in. Fabulous meal, fabulous service and laughed like drains. Just me, Mr JC and my wee rock and roll buddy that I've known for ever. It was her birthday today.
Off to the seaside tomorrow with a friend tomorrow who neither of us has seen for more than 40 years.

For those of a nervous disposition I am wearing cut off shorts........little chubby legs will be on show. Although at my age these days I couldn't give a flying feck.

There's defo a peculiar niff around teenage boys........showered or not. We used to time Jenny in the shower.........I think her record still stands at 35 minutes.

Safe and comfy, journey to Satzuma.

Better get going I've got to nip into the pet shop on the way there.

Oh no I'm not going to sugar coat it - this will be an ordeal - but needs must - it may be her last holiday. She loves the travelling and all that entails ...... so she'll be happy.
That's the main thing and the purpose of this trip ....
Have great support in DD and to a lesser degree my sister ( awfully selfish & self centered individual ) ................

Oh God yes Jacks SO thankful I do not drink.
I'm so anxious now - if I was drinking I'd probably have started already this morning at 10am.
My mother has made 10 phone calls in past 2 days even at 7.30 this morning. :sad:

It was an a late lunch after a walk along the beach and then after lunch walked back to her car. I'm not long in. My friend from school has to drive back to Cornwall tomorrow about 450 miles. She's thinking of coming back up north.........she's been single a while, no children and a counsellor.

Boiling hot, not often that happens on the NE coast...........even had a paddle. I'm shattered proper fish and chips and all that fresh air has worn me out.

I'm so anxious now - if I was drinking I'd probably have started already this morning at 10am.

I do that a lot, 'if i was drinking', especially in this sunny 'white wine' weather. I have to keep visualising after the first couple of fantasy drinks - never a happy ending.
Its lovely that you can give her all your attention Satz.

That was a good documentary you shared the other day Tabbers. I got it on You Tube.. Im not finished it yet - very good.

Morning,
Today will be a gentle day........no haring around catching metros. Will have to put ice-cream on the shopping list............never been the greatest fan ice-cream but there's a salted caramel one that is just gorgeous.

Sunny this morning, thunderstorms this aftie and more sun tomorrow........we're off to see the Kingsize Voodoo Travellers tomorrow aftie. I may just hippify myself with a long frock and a sun hat.

FA Cup day today............I'll send Mr JC next door to watch it.

You know, Molls. I'm not the a big fan of the seaside I prefer trees but yesterday watching the families and having a paddle made we realise how lucky I am to have a choice.

Afternoon folks, back to torrential rain here, ah we don't realise how green Ire is until we spend some time abroad. Thats the temperate climate and lots of rain and I wouldn't change it, except maybe in the depths of winter when my old body would like some sun and warmth. But for today the garden will have to wait.....
