Morning JC, sitting here with my raspberry, blueberry, banana & coconut water smoothie trying to decide what to do with my bank holiday Monday. Could be the garden again, which to be honest is constant work this time of the year.

Lots of teachers in my lot here and they all say that the ones that 'go back' into teaching from other walks, always make fabulous teachers. Thats probably the case for most careers I suppose. Molly welcome to Scotland - you'll love it and if you want the better prices just go a little off the tourist routes - the Scots are a bit canny at tourist prices, but just a bit off the beaten track and you'll find better local food at much better rates.

JC good thoughts for Jenny - and Mers I'm going to change career to be a professional footballer......maybe not!

Thanks Tony and indeed I am loving it - the Scots truly are very like the Irish so feel very at home - in Fort William tonight - lovely little B&B - heading out for a bite to eat shortly - feel healthily tired after a day up the mountains in the fresh air - beautiful spots!

Sounds like you are having a blast. Just in from the work house, short paid working week due to bank holiday. Never too old to try new things. How old is your daughter JC? I have a 24 year old who shows no interest in learning to drive. She will if she has to I guess. Off to get my dinner, starving .

Evening

How am I?.............finally dry. Chucked it down all day.............had to run to the Metro from work but stood like a good girl waiting for the little green man at the traffic lights to tell me it was safe to cross when a great big fat fecker of a bus went straight through a ginormous puddle and drenched me. It was so hot on the train there was steam coming off me and out of my ears. Looked and felt like a right tool.

Fort William was a stop off for us on the way up to Skye.............thought there was something wrong with the car as we could hear intermittent strange noises............turned out to be the son and heir snoring gently in the back.

If Mers is going to be a ballet dancer and Tony's going to be a footie player...........I'd like to be a Labrador...........I've nearly perfected lying on the settee a lot so I've got a good start.

Cross- post, Rustles. She's 30.............never showed any interest. The son and heir couldn't wait started lessons at 17, passed at 18 and we got him an old banger.

I was nearly 30.. I had to when we moved off the beaten track. took few goes to get the test then
