Re: One Step at a Time - June 2017
Hi guys. Just came back from a 2 day trip to Naples. Had 20 yr anniversary dinner sitting on the beach! Played golf Thurs & Fri. Had a great time (even though still dealing with the hives). The heat doesn't help it so am going to bike over to FC and use TM. Gained some weight although know part of it was a high salt day yesterday. Time to get serious.
Are you all glad it's June? Official start of hurricane season for us. Am ready for a low key weekend. Then Wed night we are having people over for dinner as a thank you. One lady watered my plants while I was in MN. Another friend made me a golf seat cover and the other couple we invited used to live in condo complex we all started out in. Truly wish entertaining was more natural for me, but it is always a bit of a struggle.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Thanks Pauly. I meant to ask the other day, you said you have a large family. Are you close to your other siblings? (Sorry if you've explained this and I missed it)Last edited by Glass Half Empty; June 3, 2017, 12:37 PM.There's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes

Hello everyone. I wanted to check in really quick. I'll be back later. The painter is coming Tuesday!!!! Starting in DS's old room (which he will finish clearing out tomorrow) and the bathroom, then our bedroom and then the kitchen. So, I am going to start madly going thru trying to get ready. osteroops:

I had taken a break and watched some of Young Frankenstein with Mom. She was reading the close captions and following the story and laughing. Fun. She fell asleep but we watched for probably an hour. :rotlf:"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - June 2017
Morning friends,Glassy yes I'm very close to my siblings, I was the oldest of this group and since my mom was either working or being a party animal I had a hand in raising them,my oldest two brothers I'm not close too, they were part of her first marriage to some SOB and she had them, then me with him, left the two boys and took me when they split so I never seen them much growing up and they turned out much like the SOB himself so I dont keep in touch,Nora, glad moms having better days,is it lonely without your son at home? I still walk past the girls' rooms and feel sentimental I'm so weird, whenever Brady starts his adult life I'll probably super lose it went to Red Lobster for an early anniversary dinner,I haven't been there in ages! Had a small steak, coconut shrimp and a baked potato with butter and sour cream, and of course a yummy cheezy biscuit they have, forgot how tummy coconut shrimp is,thats the most I've eaten in a week so digestion was rough haha, still sad here and there, sometimes it hits me hard, other times its a vague underlying sadness,a lot of why's and I can hear my bro's laugh,he was always laughing, damn
Techie, great to see you Mr.V always a pleasure Rusty,Liz,AG,TMH hope we all have a relaxing AF SundayI have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

Mr V - CONGRATULATIONS on day 4. :yay: One step at a time
I am clearing closets and having a huge mess going on here getting ready for the painters. I found a purse that I had never cleaned out....just found a receipt for a double bloody mary from the airport. Oh, I would love to sit & guzzle my bloody mary's before, during and after (if possible). I just hope that I don't find an empty bottle in the closet."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Techie - how was your trip? I still love my virgin mary's.
Going to call it a day. Wow - we have a lot of stuff. Much of it is going straight to the goodwill. Lots to trash and then some will come back in. Wow!
How are things in the blankie fort? I'm heading over with some supplies. I can't expect Glassie to do all the work with her hurt hand!"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Thanks Nora. I'm always willing to help with blankie fort supplies but sadly my hand was starting to heal until I got it stuck in the vacuum cleaner!
