Moring all, starting Day 7, feeling good.
Over, 10,000 steps yesterday, and 1000 meter swim.
Happy Anniversary, Pauly!
Welcome back Liz!
AG, had a few cravings yesterday on the way back home from work, normally a quick stop off at the bar. Passed on that, walked the dog instead, it did the trick.
Also should mention that I joined One Year No Beer, if you've heard of that, on the 30-90 day challenge now, starting June 1. They also have a 30 day Plank challenge going, it's as hard as going AF, lol!

Great job Mr V!! Day 7, woo woo!! I am thankful for my dog, not only gets me out in all kinds of weather but just LOVES me no matter what!
I have not heard of One Year No Beer, I'll check it out, thanks for the tip. Planks are really tough for me too, ha ha. After a work call this am, I'm headed for the noon Fit Body class at the gym. its only 30 minutes so I should be able to tough it out.
Have a good AF Wednesday Steppers! Onward!

Re: One Step at a Time - June 2017
Good Morning and Happy Hump Day, Stepping Friends!!
It's a gorgeous, sunny day here and I have decided to treat myself to run/walk on the lake path and take my time getting to MN. It's so nice to be able to catch my breath. :yay:
Pauly-I laughed when I saw AG's comments about trying to cut her own hair...I couldn't do it either! Hahah! Mine is naturally curly and several layers. Good for you for knowing how to cut and style your own hair and simplifying your life. We actually have quite a large group on this thread. I counted the regular posters and we right now, we have 9. I know that a lot of times I don't feel like posting when I can't address everyone. I don't want anyone to think I am deliberately leaving them out. I think a lot of people leave MWO because they don't feel like they have anything to add or contribute to the group, and they are finding support elsewhere. Do you remember Doggygirl? She was several years sober when she left MWO because she didn't feel like she had anything to add, and she was very active in AA. She also was VERY busy...she went back to school to be an addictions' counselor and between studying and doing her internship, she didn't have a lot of spare time. Sunshine_gg was also very active here but she felt she needed in-person support and she, too, found that support in AA. Just my two cents. :-)
AG-you did make a VERY good decision last night...BRAVO!:goodjob: And you got your steps in...Whoo Hoo! I am sure your son was delighted you spent time with him instead of drinking.
TMH-did you golf yesterday? I am so sorry to hear about your friend's passing. I do not remember the details, though. Please refresh my memory.
Mr. V-Congratulations on Day 7! I have not heard of the One Year, No Beer! No I am intrigued!
Liz-glad you had fun in Atlanta. I love Atlanta except for the traffic. With your boss retiring, I wonder what will happen to Ann? I am with you...I like to dress up, too!!
Glassie-are you and your son planning to celebrate his success anytime soon?
Nora-are you done painting?
Skendall-how are you doing?
OK, I've covered everyone, I think! Hahah!
Have a happy AF Wednesday!!

Re: One Step at a Time - June 2017
I see your test TMH. Sorry you lost another post.
Crazy busy here. Welcome home Liz.
Got to finish clearing out our bedroom. They should be done painting mom's room tomorrow. And then get started on ours. They did finish the bathroom today. They won't start the kitchen till Monday so that gives a little time to finish emptying the kitchen.
Love and hugs. So much I want to comment on but have got to get this finished."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - June 2017
Happy hump day!
Happy Anniversay Pauly! Loved the adorable purse hubby got you! How sweet. I'm sure your hair looks great, wish I could cut my own. Sometimes I feel the same way as you with people posting/not posting here. Rusty thank you for your usual sweet insightful ness on the topic! I'm just thankful for the support I have here. You guys have truly been a lifeline for me!
Rusty, you are so right about the traffic in Atlanta! OMG! and people think New Jersey is bad!
Nora, you do sound busy. It sounds like things are moving along. I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end.
AG, kudos on hiking and NOT drinking. A little bowl of ice cream was well deserved. You are sounding upbeat.
Mr. V. I like AG will be looking into that as well. Good for you on 7 days. Those first few days are the worst! What is this about a plank challenge? I have recently started doing planks. My hubby is quite impressed with me.
TMH, I hope you figure out what happens to your posts.
Started organizing for yet another church garage sale. A lot of work but I feel like we got a good start. It's not until next weekend. AG FYI I logged in at a whopping 12,333 steps! No wonder I'm tired. Off to bed, wising us all a quiet restful AF night.Last edited by Lizann; June 7, 2017, 10:38 PM.

Re: One Step at a Time - June 2017
Good Morning!
I arrived safely in MN.
Nora-wow, your house will look like new when you are done with the painting.
Liz-I saw this Facebook page about how doing planks for 10 min. per day will strengthen all your muscles, and not just your ABS, so I am giving it whirl. Wish me luck! Haha! Wow, over 12K steps. You work so hard at your church garage sales. I hope you make a boatload of $$$$!
Glassie-how is your hand, honey? Did the vacuum cleaner survive, or did you put it under the rear wheels of your car and then thrust your car into reverse? ;-)
TMH-I saw your post earlier. Can you say where you grew up in MN? I love this state...very much like Wisconsin.
Congratulations, @Neva/Eva....over 4 months sober!:goodjob:
Happy Anniversary, Pauly!!:welldone:
Ok, I have work to do before work so happy AF Thursday!

Re: One Step at a Time - June 2017
Everyone sounds good, and busy.
I often don’t address everyone on the thread, because I’m afraid I’ll leave someone out, and I often do.
Please don’t take it personally. Sometimes I can only remember a few things people said, when responding, lol. Old man syndrome. If I have to page back to refresh my memory I lose my post, lol.
Here’s a link for One year No Beer (OYNB).
It’s a UK based organization, but more and more people from the states are joining. First heard of them on the Army Thread about a month or two back.
Like a lot of sites, they want $ for all the info, but give day to day coaching, if you feel you need it. It’s a rather small group, but very supportive, like here.
A lot younger folks than I, but I like the energy.
They also have a private Facebook page, where most people are most active.
not sure if you can get to it from this link or not.
Log into Facebook | Facebook
Or just search Facebook for One Year No Beer.
But, to join a private Facebook group, you have to have a Facebook profile. I was a little leery about using my real name, as most do, so I set up a fake profile. Not the most genuine, I know, but I wasn’t yet ready to take that step. Even private groups can be read by savvy internet people.
Oh, well, I need to have way more AF free time behind me to use my real name. Hope y’all understand.
As for the plank challenge, here’s a quick schedule. 30 days to a 5 minute plank.plank challenge.jpg
They want you to check in everyday
10 minutes Rusty!? Wow, that’s a long time!
Nora, I didn’t realize the whole place was getting painted. That’s a lot of work moving everything around!
Waves to everyone else.
Mr V

Mr.V I totally understand feeling bad about not being able to post to everyone, I've been on both sides, the forgetter and the forgotten, I know its not on purpose cuz we all do it,I think the main thing is just to post,be accountable and honest, here most days just to keep the thread moving and the sober ball rolling (I almost said keep our balls rolling, yikes!)I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:
