Re: One Step at a Time - June 2017
DBT is an interesting thing. So far its ridiculous and I know it all already. Cursed being raised by an MSW that consulted me when I was 12-18. I psychoanalyzed everything. Mindfulness, yeah whatever that's amateur hour. I've heard it all before. Maybe I should be seeing a therapist again one on one that is qualified because my language and implications of what I say are some pretty powerful things I need to get out. Not sure noobies or a simple class can solve this for me or let me meet peers that understand. I feel alone.
I am grateful though that I can do it. I am grateful I can conclude the leaders sentences with a summary word that they are lost for. I'm trying not to cross talk or over step my boundaries. I wonder if they will talk about shame because so far this seems rediculous. Shame is what drives us to insanity."Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." - Albert Einstein

Re: One Step at a Time - June 2017
Hello everyone. I hope that you all had a fantastic day today. Thanks for letting me whine today. Not sure what's up with that but tears were flowing. :rotlf: Mick and treegirl thanks for the hugs.
It looks like the painters will be done tomorrow (fingers crossed). It will be nice to get settled down.

Hi Nora
I hope you're feeling better today. Sorry I wasn't here to send hugs when you needed them. Here are some spares you can keep in case you need them later.
Funny story: I washed my sheets the other day and draped them over the chairs on the balcony to dry, and when I went to bring them in my beautiful pusscat Bella had decided it was her very own blankie fort and was fast asleep underneath. So if anyone needs the fort now you know where to come.
I'll be away for the next few days but will check in when I get back.
Take care Steppers. :love:Last edited by Glass Half Empty; June 13, 2017, 09:27 PM.There's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes

Re: One Step at a Time - June 2017
Hi everyone.
Nora, just know you are loved. Like Glassie will send some:hug::hug::hug:
Went into AFIB yesterday, so was in the hospital for 4 hrs. I was down for a few seconds and my reconstructed foot went under me. Ouch.
I didn't want to disturb Andrea so I put in a call to Nextdoor, the app for neighbors. Got instant results, taken to ER and then picked up. Amazing. They do an awesome job on finding pets too.
Lizz, I'm sorry about your father. I could almost tell when my dad willed himself to exit. Isolation, lack of energy, etc. He may be clinically depressed. I think you mentioned a while ago that might be difficult. Thinking of you.
AG, that sounds like a really good vacay.
Techie, St Petersberg is so on my list. N
Not keen to fly Aeroflot. Which airline did you use? (Airforce one, hahah)
Hi MR. Vand everyone else.
BTW I had AT&T install hi speed internet, and it was so slow. Apparently they didn't give me the correct remote. When dealing with these people does anyone accidentally get more tv channels or higher service than they paid for? It usually falls to the advantage for them.
That said I still dont watch tv. When I was at hospital I watched the news there on tv, and the brain dead commercials, made me remember why I don't watch tv. However, Vivian wants me to order DirectTV.
Since I've moved, I'm still unloading boxes, etc. And SIL was here to unroll a rug for me. I later got a memo asking me to keep my apt. neat, clean and tidy. WTH? He's a germaphobe and my daughter is neatnik, but geez. In their home nothing is out of place, it's almost military. I'm not the best h/keeper, I am clean but sometimes untidy by their standards. That comment really hurt. Will I have to submit to a spelling test next?
Got to go and take some tylenol. xoxoxoEnlightened by MWO

Skendall a fib, kinda scary. Do they know what caused it?
A little upset tonight. CJ still hasn't ordered the wedding invites. They are still unsure about the Coptic ceremony. Really? They need to take a premarital class. I mean really the wedding is 3 months away. I am just so tired of pushing and prodding. We paid a ton of money for this reception!! Ugh, off to the blankie fort.
