Good morning my loves! It's a BOY! Logan Hunter made his entrance at 11:34 PM weighing in at 7lbs 14 oz and 21 inches long. Mommy and baby are doing well! Dan finally texted us at 1:30. I texted Erin this morning and she will let us know when we can go meet the little booger! If it were up to me I'd go right now, but I will be a good Oma and respect their wishes! Keep you guys posted!

Re: One Step at a Time - June 2017

Day 19 AF, Still here. I was asked on the OYNB site about a her to emulate. I think everyone on this site is a hero in my book. Everyone has made the effort to better themselves. That is something to be proud of.

Going on holiday, starting tomorrow, Pacific Northwest, ( Hi SK!) and British Columbia. This will be a bit of a challenge for me, but I'm determined to make it through. Part of the time I'll be with family, who are big drinkers, and throw in a wedding to boot. I have a plan to drink AF beer, ( Bitbourg, at 0.0 percent alcohol, truly AF) and sparkling water, but need to be vigilant for triggers. Athletic pursuits are also on the agenda, so that will help. Part of the time I won't have internet, so if you don't here from me, it does not mean I have failed. I'll check in when I am able.
Congrats, Liz!
Nora, my mom once said to me how we spend the first half of our lives accumulating stuff, and the second half ridding ourselves of stuff. How true! Lol.

Congratulations, Lizann. You are not going to believe how much fun it is to have a grandson! One of the things I'm most proud of and grateful for is that neither of mine has a grandma who has had any alcohol, much less an addiction, since they were born. Because babies are babies, I've been needed at a moment's notice at all times of day or night, and had to either drive across town or to another state as quickly as possible. It has been so wonderful (and such a relief) to be always available for my kids and their kids and maybe even more importantly, not resent them because they "interfered" with my drinking time. By the end, I resented EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE that made it so I couldn't drink each and every evening. It would be awful if I resented these sweet boys and missed what have turned out to be special, meaningful, and FUN relationships with them. Enjoy Logan!
