Afternoon All,
Dock leaves work a treat - we have a garden full of nettles and dock leaves.. my son decided to puree a load of dock leaves and make a paste recently.. didnt work quite according to plan, but he might be onto something!
Satz, sounds like you should have been hired 6 months ago! Trying to do anything in the summer is not easy with so many people covering for each other - in every walk.

Another free gaff here (with MrS) once was enough in a week, I miss the chaos! Off to do free gaff things, back later.

Believe you me it's a lot more than dock leaves required - emergency doctor visit!!

You need a prescription for dock leaves over there :egad:

Does anyone remember the name of that awful stuff that was used if you got chicken pox?

sorry -- know that sounded dramatic - but yeah - I had an allergic reaction - couldn't breathe and the area was on fire.. if someone had offered to cut my leg off I'd have said off you go -- mad rush to doc this after (over 24 hours after being stung..) - anyway -- some sort of injection and then pills and lotions and it's calming down now - and my breathing has come back - also have had allergic reactions to jellyfish and bee's in the past - had fits as a young'un after a jellyfish sting - so reckon I is gonna stay away from all stinging substances and critters for a very long time - so yeah - not to sound ungrateful but as I say it was a long way past dock leaves!!! scared myself tbh...

Not long home. The son and heir was driving so he gave me a lift home..............left Mr JC as the red wine was about to be opened and the noise level had gone from a gentle buzz to very loud and reckon in about half an hour it will karaoke and so loud the walls shake.

Okay that reminds me before the virus hits kill all extensions and do a scan. Only started happening a week ago but I win XP 7 expert and the newer 10, well I was married and didnt really pay attention to computers as much due to time. Now to teach myself again.

All I know is i got the vostravax shot for shingles early because my benefits covered it because that its insane. 2 of my friends have had it and its only covered by the govt when you are over 50 and I'm not 50, nor were my friends. I was too young to remember the chicken pox remedy. We had chicken pox parties so everyone would get it at the same time which is nuts.

Stuff for chicken pox I remember was Calamine Lotion for the itch - turned white after it was put on.

ITs STILL Calamine lotion! They just updated the bottle.

Just back from family gig - there was booze there but it wasn't a focus. This would have driven me mad, trying to sneak in more wine without looking like a lush and really not concentrating on anyone. Nice to be able to enjoy the day without distraction (except for wearing the wrong shoes:happy2

I don't think had chicken pox parties.............but would you believe ours used to either measles or German Measle gatherings or mumps.

The son and heir went through chicken pox just highly hacked off as he wasn't allowed to go to school and a slight temperature..........very few spots. Whereas Jenny was covered from head to toe to places not to be mentioned....................I remember her being on a sun lounger in the house covered from head to toe in that calomine stuff crying out...........'Why has God given me this terrible disease'.................mind you she was going through a religious phase and her and her best mate had decided to be nuns when they left school.................they were 5 at the time.
