Happy Sunday everyone. Just wanted to say hi. Happy you had a good time Liz. Sorry about the $20, Pauly, but glad that was it.
Don't have anything to say really. Just wanted to check in. Trying to find my happy place and it's missing at the moment. I am back in the fort so feel free to join me.

Re: One Step at a Time - July 2017
I should have stuck to the other books. Dean Koontz writes a little too close to home. My paranoia that is always there is now on high alert
“The Silent Corner is vintage Dean Koontz: paranoia-fueled suspense . . . sleek and highly realized action, developed characters, and more twists and turns than any two ordinary novels combined. . . . As relevant to current events as it is audacious . . . amongst Dean Koontz’s finest contemporary work.”—Mystery Scene"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - July 2017
Hey guys, we are home! There was an accident that closed 95 in both directions in Maryland, grrr. Detours and traffic. Slowed us down a lot but alls well that ends well!
Nora, the blankie fort looks so cozy. Honestly, not much into dean koontz myself. I really do prefer an easy read. My favorite is Mary Higgins Clark. Not too deep or scary or paranoid. That's just me though. Your picture is too funny. Babble away. I have never seen Myrna Loy movies either. Something to look into, though.
Rusty, a walk around the lake on a summer evening sounds wonderful! CJ and I just did the "cul-de-sacs" in the neighborhood. More than enough for me tonight.
Skendall, feel better.
Pauly, sorry about the $20 dollars. I know how much that hurts. How strange that it's available in the grocery store. They make it way too easy. I tried crocheting when I was younger and well , just not good at it. Erin picked it up on her own and has made the baby booties and a hat! There's got to be something I'm good at. When is Kelly's due date?
It was a whirlwind of a weekend and I'm exhausted. Yes I am very proud of my nephew, but am relieved that this part of his education is over. It was a grueling 6 weeks for him! He is back at home for now.
Wishing everyone a peaceful AF Sunday night.

Re: One Step at a Time - July 2017
Liz-sorry, cross post!! BTW, I can't walk around the whole lake at once...it's 26 miles around...and YES, it has a walking path/trail that goes ALL the way around. I walked about 3.5 miles, though. Your nephew's ceremony, the fanfare...sounds wonderful...except for the traffic. UGH!!!
Pauly-I am SO sorry you lost $20. I do not gamble. I really do not like it because it can absolutely ruin people, and I have seen it happen with employees of my clients. I am turned off by the ever-present slot machines in Vegas. Tacky, in my very humble opinion. OK, I think since Lou is 4 he will LOVE the Fishing Game! Really! :-)

Congratulations Pauly – I’m so happy for you and Kelly and I hope all goes well.
I’m so glad you enjoyed your break Rusty -it was long overdue.
Nora I’m sorry you’re not in a good place. That hippie fort looks very sumptuous, but does anyone mind if I pop in first to straighten all the blankets? Sorry, I probably should have mentioned I'm a bit of a neat freak! :harhar:There's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes
