Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-August 2017

Ach, I'll still be running around like a headless chicken Christmas Eve. It was just some garden lights for the kids.......had to grab 'em while they were on offer.

The summer has passed in the blink of an eye. Its not been too bad for us up north.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

HATE making lunches. I'll start off enthusiastic and well stocked and then anything could turn up in that square box.. Shepherds pie sandwiches are surprisingly delicious.

I love shepherds pie! One of my favorites. Cheap, tastes good, but I pushed it so its actually expensive relatively (butter, cream cheese in the whipped potatoes), the type of beef. Sounds interesting to put on a sandwich but why? (I suppose it makes it simple). But no today is sushi again. By now you know I am a food geek. Industrial kitchens to 70$ steaks, some of the kobi beef was expensive it would blow your mind. I have tried, seen and learned everything by fixing huge appliances. Actually I learned it before by copying what I had eaten at a restaurant. I've scrambled under hot tables and done high voltage in the dark. Yeah thats no fun. Try this out ... Sous-vide, crazy. Sous-vide - Wikipedia I have seen everything and tried it all.

Morning JC, Mary, Empy and a'body else to come...

Just a quickie, as off to skool.

Shepherd's pie is good. Is the only difference between that and cottage pie, the type of meat? (one lamb, the other cow??)

Shepherds pie sarnie?! Strange fillings for sarnies... mac n cheese sarnie anyone?! grilled-pancetta-mac-cheese-sarnie-sandwich-L-neIMku.jpg

Morning folks, back from a 2 hr yoga session, a little tired but fulfilled. JC can we have our sun back please I have a skip to fill and it is pouring down. If it doesn't ease off in an hour I will be getting wet, no choice.

Shepard's Pie = Lamb
Cottage Pie = beef

That's the differ.

Arcy I felt the same when I started this new job. Apprehension.
Time is the ONLY thing that will help - just go with the flow ........

Here's a thought for today :

The Guest House

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.
Be grateful for whatever comes.
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Very true, just packing and loading up on the rain gear. You know what they say, no bad weather just bad clothing or something like that, so packing for all 4 seasons lol.

There is 11,000$ on bet if our radio station is off by 3c. I don't check often enough, though I do check. I just don't compare. I live in an area.

A late good evening.
IamMary..........I'm another one that has tried yoga and couldn't get away with it.........I may, just may give it another..........and the blooming pregnancy relaxation never got the hang of that either always used to lie there with one eye open...........probably a bad case of FOMO.

I did try belly dancing when the kids were little..........its rather good.

satz123........love the Guest House.

Sun went behind the clouds so ended up clearing some drawers out. Found the most beautiful photo of my Granny beside the Lindisfarne Gospels when they were on show at Durham Cathedral...........she looks so smiley you'd think she'd written them...........must get it framed.

A-level results day today and our niece is expecting hers. She's our very own genius as she sat them a year early and if she gets the results needed will be off to Cambridge in September.
