Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-August 2017
Morning folks, with a special hello to Molly dear. Rusty I have a feeling we don't live a million miles away from each other. I have been having a mega busy past week or so, with the usual ups and downs but solid as a rock here. Took time out and did a mega day in the garden yesterday, chopping, digging, planting and taking some cuttings. I love the 'me' time out there in the good weather away from all distractions, phones, computers and people haha, just me and puppy (getting big), it is very therapeutic.Last edited by Tabbers (a.k.a. Whahoooooo! Molly's in the house! :yay:
Absolutely fricken wonderful to see you back Molls.
Shattered. And down with the feckin blocked nose/sore throat/man-oh-woe-is-me-flu... Which causes me to have shorter fuse than usual, so when Molly-cat decided to linch my last sausage from the worktop (I was saving it for later this evening) and half devoured it on the floor, I wis none too impressed. Feckin sausage stealer.
But on a happy note, tomorrow means it's very very nearly the weekend.
Happy anniversary rustop59 ! My folks have a feral cat that chases, slays and devours anything that moves that is smaller than a West Highland Terrier. She certainly not compatible with a bird lover. Maybe get an indoor cat, would that work? Molly's an indoor cat (though she could be an outdoor cat if i didn't live in a tenement...)... tends to doff her heid on the windows when attempting to catch the birds perched on the window sill. you'd think she'd learn... but no, everyday, there's a DOFF as her wee black heid Glasgow kisses the double glazing.
Best off and get me some kip.

I would like to have a cat again but other half very anti as he has bird feeders all over the place. Ah well the two JR's not far off. Speaking of which must go off and walk them. They had two yesterday, one in the woods and the other along the shoreline as I had to pick up something. Dogs are banned from the blue flagged beach there 1st June to 1st September, which I didn't know . Not very nice for walking on anyway as very rocky so did doggy path. Can't really blame them, very busy and people very bad at cleaning up. Today my 33rd wedding anniversary, hard to believe. Himself away so will do something later. Over fed last few weeks so maybe cinema. Heard Tom Vaughan Lawlor being interviewed at weekend and he has new movie coming out.

Heading up to Norn Iron tomorrow - sterling is so weak against the euro reckon it'll be easy pickings - will do the weekly shopping in Sainsbury's as well and have lunch on our way home - sad to say but that's as exotic an outing as Joe can manage at the moment with the gammy leg... -- looking forward to it tbhContentedly sober since 27/12/2011

Friday morning folks, and well, are the morning's not tightening in. Autumn's arrival is due on time.
Molls, enjoy Norn Iron - how long's it take from Dublin? If you pass Portadown, wave to my cousin and her family.
Having a cold/sniffle/sore throat leaves me in a quandary - do i stay in bed for an extra hour like it's a weekend, or get up and out and active? Hmmm... Whatever your days are, have a good one folks.

Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-August 2017
Hi all. Hope your man flu is improving Arsie and that you had a nice day in Newry Molly. Used to love going up with the girls years ago. We did not have Debenhams at that stage so it was great to see something different. How is Joe's leg? Daughter and bf in Scotland at moment, photos amazing. Just as well you had day in garden yesterday Tabs, rain seems to have arrived this afternoon. There is something very therapeutic about it, also walking/hill walking. Had lovely walk this morning. I have place to myself so busy crocheting and binge watching Netflix. Lovely change from guzzling bottles of wine. Don't miss it, this has started to become the norm. Never thought it would and that I would not miss it but it has.
