Morning, Molls, pet.
We're looking after Buddy next week when they're in Turkey next week...........we'll have to puppy safe the house. Just as well they're bringing a stair gate so he won't get upstairs.
Must away to work.

Morning ladies, good news on Buddy.
Puppy proofing, good luck with that.
Regards, 8 month old puppy owner.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

So you know the dog in my Avatar is not my pup. He is my pride and joy. The pup is in my photos, mostly white with some dark markings on her head. Only about 11 weeks

I use a child gate and massive amounts of those relics we get called newspaper as pee pads. My puppy steals anything it can reach including the toilet brush which is disgusting. Toilet paper is her fav, so take it off the roller before leaving at any point. Anything that smells or smells like you, socks, undies, hats, etc. I've had one shoe upstairs and one downstairs and confused by it until I realize the pup stole one. I'm surprised every morning to see what new thing she has stolen. She's taken my keys, my wallet, my cell phone wires and cases and thankfully not my cell phone which is still near top of the line. So fair warning wires are what she goes after, so if your phone is plugged in and the dog gets the cord, hopefully you have a great case on it. Good luck pup sitting.

Empty plastic water bottles are a great toy, so long as you aren't around listening to it. So nice when you are out. We have insane people around here that will break your car window if there is a dog in it or report your license plate even if you have air conditioned your car so well and you go in for 2-3 minutes to pick up medication that was pre planned (this last weeks experience). They have no idea how long the dog was in the car so I suppose its fair and would upset me also. Unfortunately there is no way to tell and its difficult. Its a conundrum because if I leave the window open enough, he gets stolen. I'm going to lock a cage down and have the windows all the way open in the future with a lock on the gate. Animal theft is real here. He gets separation anxiety and barks like crazy so everyone looks at your car. So plan it all well. I used to carry my pup (the one that is in my avatar) when he was young in a jacket pocket so you could only see his head stick out but stores get really cranky. I think I will register him and her as service dogs so they can come in stores with me. Thats Canada for you; meanwhile in the Netherlands cats are welcome in every store and bar because seriously mice run around while you are eating even at the high class restaurants.

Evening
Tabbers (a.k.a. KTAB)...Buddy will be about 7 months now.

empyr3al............just had a quick look round and the amount of cables we've got you'd think we setting up for a Metallica gig. :egad:

We've always had rescue dogs coming to us at about 2 years old and most of the chewing has gone. Although we had one Lab at the grand old age of 12/13 .......when I was getting ready to go on a posh night out .........chewed the heels off one of my best shoes. He seemed ever so pleased with himself.

Spoke to Jenny this morning and she's seen him, he's fine. He's got one last toxicology test and will more than likely to be home tomorrow.

JackieClaire its only 2.79 CAD for 100gb. Some people would freak out about that buts its what I do so I can host an insane amount of high resolution photos. Have you a good night both of you. Maybe at sometime I will tell who that baby is, the reason i posted it was to prove a point.

The fact my dog is not aggressive and the baby loves him is emotional engineering at its best. I believe it is how we build trust.

Morning folks, Molly I have heard people say "I hate my boss" but really, are you burying your old bosses under the patio?
I have a very wet dog beside me chewing a hide bone in an aroma filled office......looking out I think it may be time to start collecting wood for the building of an ark.....

Good morning and good news. Buddy came home last night.

I always worked on the premise never leave a dog alone with a small child.

Gawd, Molls..........have yous lot thought about bulk buying cakes.

JackieClaire, the dog has never been left alone with a small child. This is monitored closely and I have dozens and dozens of photos of this experience. You should see these babies play pen... never seen anyone build anything like it. Props to the anonymous person that built it. So the dog wanted in to play so the first intro was through the gate where we watched the baby come up to the dog and watched the dogs behaviour. The baby reached out for the dog and it was perfectly fine. After a couple minutes there seemed to be no threat so we let them play together. Now this dog is 2 1/2 so its calmed down a lot and is more curious about the baby boy in the photo. In fact licked his head a couple times. The boys are twins and you can definately see a difference between them and how they behave with the dog. So only one of the boy got to play. There are 4 adults watching this closely to see what happens. All is good This child is not mine but has experience with small dogs and a larger dog so it was all how my dog would behave. Jealousy happens with dogs when new children are born so I can definately see why you would never leave a dog with a small child. I have my one dog trying to train my pup at the moment and its a ton of growls. The pup I would never let near a small child.

mollyka. Sometimes hard choices need to be made when children are involved. It is cruel to abandon a dog when it is actually a part of your family or its pack. Maybe I will upload a photo of the play pen so that dogs and babies could work together.

KTAB thats hillarious. Did you see what happened with the guy that built a freaking huge ark? Cost millions of dollars and could not be afforded and he went bankrupt I beleive. They are thinking of making it a museum as its hundreds of feet long. Interesting if you do a google/youtube search about it. First hit on google, but more has gone on. While millions visit the Ark, Grant County is sinking fast, trying to avoid bankruptcy, offering no amenities | NKyTribune Still makes me laugh a little. Actually they did after reading the article. Seems one guy started it and the county finished it and is nearly bankrupt.

Late good evening,

Wouldn't mind a day at our local races. One of those places I never drank a lot............mainly because the queue in the ladies was about a year long and they were a shabby mess.

I've had one of those days where its just gently paddled along. Got caught up on a few phone calls I've been meaning to do for ages, made a cake and just pootled and bimbled the day away. They don't come along very often......Lovely.

Wonder if Molls has finished burying the old boss yet.

empyr3al..........we had an English Bulldog bought the same week my brother was born and they were inseparable.
