Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-August 2017

Puppy Watch: Day one...................although he's more of a teenager at 7 months.

I'm zorsted already ..........I shall be a shell of the person you know now when he goes home in a week.............I am now wandering about in one and a half slippers as I took my eye off him for a nano section and he's chewed one of them.

And he bounces...........most of his body must be made of springs.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Good morning Jackie and RunningCourage.
Good to see some old familiar names here in the barracks. Takes me back to the good old days when the Army was a-buzz every day!!!

He sounds adorable Jackie - what breed is he? My brother and his wife have Great Danes - they had two of them pass away on them in the spring and recently adopted two more to take their place so they have three again. They don't exactly bounce, but gee do they take up a lot of space!!!!

Bess has given him a couple of warning barks and growls.

Hi JC, KTab and Stirly... despite the years and despite the terrible news re Mario, it is so nice to see same ol' faces (and a few new ones) at the army.

Cute beagle. A snoopy no less.

RC - it actually brought tears to my eyes to see the old familiar names - One2many, CHillgirl, Starty dropped by and many others. It was like old times in the Army - when we were all here everyday and posting.

Nice looking dogger and I would have expected nothing less from our darling Bess!!! She won't let the whipper-snapper take over her territory.

Read the so sad news about lovely Mario. Such a lovely, kind and gentle man. I can still picture him riding his bike in Dublin when we had our meet up. His advice and encouragement was priceless.

Beautifully put Ktab as always. Jackie, he will keep you young lol, they bring so much joy. Nothing much planned for bank holiday, just playing catch up and maybe get a walk in.

Evening from JC's puppy palace. I'm knackered.
If its on the floor.....its Buddy's. If its on the furniture.......its Buddy's. If he jumps high enough and grabs.............its Buddys. If they're slippers and even if on your feet they're Buddy's. If its cardboard, a magazine, a newspaper, a book...........its Buddy's.

rustop59...........tell us all about your jollydays. Did you meet many Incas?

Wow, its raining again. May be tears for mario. This year is like none other I can remember. People are dying at an insane rate and "God" is crying, so we are flooded.

Happy long weekend.

IamMary.............he's Jenny's. They've swanned off to Turkey for a week. Him and Bess have just had a little play. When I say play.............Bess sat in the middle of the room and barked and Buddy ran round her like a loon.

empyr3al.........lovely to see you as always. Summer over in the UK hasn't been too bad.

Good morning everyone. Back to the work house today so reality bites. Hiked the Inca no problem, all those hill walks paid off. Didn't suffer from the altitude either and had my first non drinking holiday in 30 years so very happy camper. The type of holiday made it easier but glad to have it under my belt. Catch you all later.

Very saddened to hear the news of Mario's passing.

He used to check up on my welfare often, along with many folks here. He was such a generous caring bloke. Condolences to his family.

Not sure of Mario's immediate family's circumstances, but if appropriate, and if the family would benefit from a financial contribution at all, i'm in.

Vale Mario. Thank you for being here mate.
