      Hope your don't mind me popping in on thread . I was looking last Christmas for a mermaid tail for my granddaughter they look really nice. What colour did you do Rusty?

      sober dry since 11th Jan '2010' relapse/slip on 23/7/13 working in progress ! Sober date 25/7/13 ( True learning has often followed an eclipse, a time of darkness, but with each cycle of my recovery, the light grows stronger and my vision is clearer. (AA)
      my desire to avoid hitting bottom again was more powerful then my desire to drink !

          Morning folks, not sure what a crocheted mermaids tail looks like but I think I want one.
          Laying here in bed alone with my iPad, tucked up while listening to the rain lashing against the glass. Is there a more cosy feeling early on a Sunday morning? There has been a storm raging all night and I expect the garden to be well watered. It sure is nice here but I will need to get up very soon and let puppy out but I imagine she will come back in post haste. I will then make smoothies and coffee, porridge and toast. DW is away so I have a few small diy jobs to do about the place after breakfast. Puppy and I shall venture out to the woods at some stage today, hopefully the rain will have eased. After that I will come back for lunch and probably relax with a book.
          Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

            Sounds like a perfect Sunday tabs - long way from 'the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad....' etc!!! Good to see you Catch!

                Jeepers, thanks it went clear out of my head Molly dear. Gonna cheer for The Déise, been 60 years or something since they were last champions.

                  Wow Tab that sounds like a perfect day in my books :happy2: I hope the rain stops for you. May be someone could put a picture of mermaids tail they are very cosy to wear ......

                  Sunday Lazy morning for me , the sun is out where I am in the UK. It good to be sober to have the choice to do what I want today,,,, if I was drinking it would be a different story! I would be drinking all Sunday and now I think to myself what a waste of a day.
                  Hope you folks don't mind me jumping in,, I have just come back with a lot of courage inside me and I want to get to know people again on mwo and help where ever needed. Am off to do what ever I want today:happy2:

                          Off up to Ma and Pa in laws to see Mr JC's Aunt and Uncle.........she's 91 and he's 92........both of them as fit as a butcher's dog.

                            Opposite of mine at the moment JC, and they are almost 20 years younger.. is it luck, attitude or lifestyle I wonder, or a bit of everything maybe. Your inlaws are very impressive!
                            Do they drink by the way? Just asking cos there has been some discussion among inlaws about turning a blind eye at this stage or encouraging a healthier lifestyle.. won't make a blind bit of difference anyway, said person won't change.

                            Anyway.. got all the washing done yesterday so it can rain all day now. nothing like the wind and rain and to be bed with the papers (and no hangover!).. here here Tabbers.

                              Hey again all -- and yup it's great to have you here Catcher! delighted I've reminded yiz all of the hurling - preferably of the ball and bat version ;-)
                              Had a bit of an emotional week here - that's as far as I can go on mwo unfortunately - as I previously referenced I have received nasty pm's in the past relating to things I have said of a personal nature - but I can reference the fact it's been emotional if ye get my drift!!! anyway - broke down in floods this morning and my god it feels better - was really bottling things up - could easily see how some years ago those feelings would have led to the 'what's going to make me feel better?' thoughts...

                                that mermaid thing is a NIGHTMARE HAHA --- no WAY would I get up and NOT fall over my feet... jaysus -- never saw one before hahahaha!!!!
