Good morning. Having a service day today. Everything that needs doing has been booked in, alarms, boilers
, chimneys cleaned etc. Will stay home whole day and the place can be like Paddington station. One day versus God knows how many hanging around. Well that's the plan anyway.

Welcome to pooped.com... I have to head out again in a couple of hours for my Wednesday night singing group thingy. They are an am-dram group who do musicals. This November, it's Sister Act. Was roped into it by my next door-neighbour-fellow-primary-teacher. Just now it's the worst bit - pooped, just want to slouch, watch drivel, read a bit... but, no. Gotta get of my lazy ass and sing for 2 and a half hours. Always better once I'm there. Always is.

Just need to get food in ma belly first, then I'll feel better

Rusty - if i could ever get all the services to come round on the one day, I would call myself a genius! Yer a genius! The bugger with being a teacher is that being available between 8.30 and 4pm is impossible - and that's assuming no travel time to get home.

Hope those on their hollibags are having a great time. While we keep the tents clean back at Army camp HQ. Waiting for a postcard to make us drool over what relaxation we are missing... Anyone know where JC keeps the cookies...? :newhere:

Back from La Belle France had a brilliant time running the marathon--Never laughed so much, it was all done in fancy dress with music gorgeous food and wine (not compulsory to drink the wine) met loads of great people and won the age group 1st prize which was a case of posh wine, which I never collected I am please to report. Feeling very tired as plane was much delayed due to French strikes--Hope everyone is OK?

I have nothing very impressive to report. juggled another day of school run, work, more kids stuff, dinner, homework, cleanup, lunches + laundry. Plus I didn't drink Oh and the dentist. Give me back one of those gold stars!

Good morning everyone. Welcome back Anon and well done :welldone: This is why I enjoy this thread, reading about all you old timers (where al is concerned) and the joys of living an alcohol free life, even when crates of wine are thrown at you lol and the madness of every day life, singing, running after children etc.

Well 5 out of 6 people turned up yesterday so good going. As RC said it's impossible when you are working full time trying to be around, I find it hard enough working part time, hence them all booked in on the same day. Only disadvantage is paying all of them on the same day😂😂, pockets a lot lighter today.

[MENTION=5052]anon[/MENTION] - well done on the run whizzy :thumbs: I got a new pair of running shoes today - Altra's... kinda like Hoka's with big cushiony bottom. Not sure about hem cos they make my chicken skinny legs look even skinnier than...uhm... chicken legs. They're FAT SHOES! Will decide over the weekend, wearing them in the house to see how i and my feet feel about them.

Yes, my life is that dull that I get excited about talking about running shoes...

Evening folks, looks like yis are all in the beds, heading up soon myself. Had a bit of a tough week, realise in the past I would have drank but never going to happen this time around. I quickly played it forward when the thought briefly surfaced for about ten seconds and then it was gone. Off to the hospital in the morning for investigation appointment, that among other things is on my mind I guess, so I have just been a bit off. Nite all.

Morning folks, got the all clear TG, feeling so grateful and relieved for that. I do begin to wonder if I have maybe been blessed to have dodged a bullet regarding my overall health given my daily drinking for so many years. Off to work for a few hours, make it a good one whatever your Saturday has in store.
