    Thinking of anyone that will be affected by this hurricane. My thoughts & prayers are with you all ♡

    sober dry since 11th Jan '2010' relapse/slip on 23/7/13 working in progress ! Sober date 25/7/13 ( True learning has often followed an eclipse, a time of darkness, but with each cycle of my recovery, the light grows stronger and my vision is clearer. (AA)
    my desire to avoid hitting bottom again was more powerful then my desire to drink !

    Catch-you are so kind to think of all of our friends here who might be affected by the hurricane...we have someone on our thread.. [MENTION=15072]ToMyHealth[/MENTION], who lives in Florida, as well as MWO member mama bear. I am fortunate that I live in the Midwest.

      My mom and sister are in the path as well as several MWO members, including [MENTION=11704]Byrdlady[/MENTION]. I have 20
      -30 friends who live in Florida, all over the state, up and down both coasts and in Orlando and Jacksonville. Even if they're not in the direct path, they will all be affected.
      My sister works a a power company, and has to stay, she helps coordinate those doing repair work. Most workers, hundreds of them, come from out of state and need places to sleep, shower, eat, etc. Pray for the safety of all.

            Thanks for concern. We did evacuate but not very far. Just a bit further north and central FL. Expensive, plan to stay til Monday. Just read on our community FB page that there is a hotel in northern panhandle where they are offering evacuees $69/night. When we checked in, clerk told us newest update is that it is going up east coast. Think it is too early to tell.

            Important to be safe but can't tell you how much work it was clearing off the lanai. I helped as much as I could but our furniture is HEAVY.. Even took off the blades of outdoor fan. We do not have Hurricane shutters or a generator. Pray for Irma missing landfall.
