Oh Techie - what are we going to do with you? Broken ribs are not funny! I hope you heal soon, you poor love.

Thank you ladies. I will be fine. They are in fact painful. Especially getting up from a seated position. One of the ribs was a refracture. That damage occurred in ‘99. There is not much that can be done. Rest rest rest. Anyway, I was thinking of starting a thread geared toward yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. These are modalities that I utilized in my long term sobriety. Thoughts??

techie - I think that is a great idea. My husband has really benefited from his yoga, etc. He has been urging me to just devote a few minutes to it when I get home from work.

Aww techie, I'd send you a hug, but I think it would hurt! That's going to take a bit to heal, I think. I love the idea of the new thread. I have dabbled a bit in yoga and am actually looking to take a class somewhere on a regular basis. Keep us posted? I rarely wander from this thread.

Wishing us all a peaceful AF night

Techie, like Liz I rarely wander from here (except to follow Mr G, Pauly and Nora's individual threads) but I would add that one to my list so please do.

In the meantime, I adore Adriene Mishler, and I follow her practices on Youtube. She recently posted a practice for after a disaster, which some people may find soothing or healing:

techie! OH NO!!! You poor thing! I've had a broken rib before and the pain was horrendous! I was just grateful I didn't cough or sneeze. Do you know how hard it was for me NOT to laugh??? You are probably the same way. I would follow your thread anytime. ;-)

Glassie-thank you for the link. I will read it this afternoon. I've never heard of Adrienne Mishler but I am intrigued now.

Pauly-I am SO thankful that you were not at the concert! I cannot imagine the terror those people felt...how are we supposed to feel safe anymore??

Hi to Nora, Liz, catch22, empyr3al, ToMyHealth, Mr Vervill, and anyone I missed, Happy AF Hump Day!

Nora-that is SO great that your hubs has benefitted from yoga. I have tried it twice and found it wasn't a fast enough pace for me...I always liked the step classes better...with upbeat music, etc., but I might have to give it another try.

Hope you all enjoyed your day. I have been keeping myself busy. Still working on cleaning out CJ s room. I will have a garage sale this weekend to see if I can get rid of some of her things. I will donate what I don't sell. Such a beautiful warm day here so I took some time to walk outside. My sister and niece came over this evening and we were able to face time with CJ and Joe:heartbeat: The container shipped today and they will leave for their new home tomorrow as well. I don't know if we will be able to communicate but I sure hope so. They are anxious to settle into their home together.
Well goodnight all and sweet dreams

Really an exciting time for them, Liz.

Didn't turn on my computer tonight so catch you all tomorrow. That sentence took me 5 minutes. I don't know how you all do it.:egad:

Good morning, wishing you all a fabulous Thursday!

Liz:heartbeat:So glad you were able to FaceTime with CJ and Joe. Wow, what an adventure they are embarking upon...I've never been to St. Croix but I can only imagine that it is beautiful.

I am off to Canada for work, but I will be back tomorrow night.

Happy Thursday, everyone!
