My day was boring, Nora. Haha! WOW...you aren't in any danger, are you? I cannot imagine seeing a sky filled with orange haze, and knowing the wildfires were so close by. Does it scare you? I would be terrified.

Liz:hug:it must be SOOOO hard for you with CJ being so far away. You have my phone number and my email so contact me ANYTIME!

Hope everyone enjoyed their Monday. Rainy here today, but still warm and humid, it's just been an unbelievable fall so far.
Nora, I heard about those fires on the news today. One house was completely burned to the ground. The only thing standing was the fireplace. Just frightening!
Logan was here today. He now turns over by himself! He is holding on to toys and trying to put them in his mouth. Such a happy content little guy. Erin brought over his little bouncy seat so he has something here to entertain him. I can't even tell you what a kick I get out of seeing it in the living room! CJ called again and turns out they did have a bit of damage to their cistern, but it's fine now. Container arrived but won't clear customs until Thursday.
So wish me luck, I have a job interview tomorrow afternoon! I just started sending resumes out. I'll keep you posted.
Goodnight all. Hope it's a quiet restful AF night

Good thoughts for you, Liz, on your interview!!!

Rusty - I'm glad that you were bored for once. You need that. :rotlf: The fires are not close to us, thank goodness. It is definitely affecting the air quality here though. We've had fires where the ashes cover our cars.

Good morning and happy Tuesday!
Yes rusty, she did come pick up the stuff and gave me a little extra money because she was late. I am selling a lot of CJs wedding leftovers. It's becoming a full time job. Next I will try and sell her furniture! Mark bought the paint last night for that room. Slowly moving forward!

Hello everyone. I hope that it was a fantastic day.

Liz - I've been sending you positive thoughts all day.
bird - I've been thinking of you. How are you doing?

Anything exciting going on with anyone? Nothing new here. Well, wait a minute.....there is something a little new. The CNA that comes out & bathes Mom is going to come and stay with her for 2 hours on Saturday. Hubby & I will just go for lunch or something. Baby steps.

Hope everyone's day was good. Another beautifully warm sunny day here. It's probably going to start snowing next week, lol. Crazy weather.
Interview went well. They said they liked me a lot. Haven't been on an interview in forever and don't know if that's standard to say. I will hear back hopefully by the end of the week. I am cautiously optimistic. I wasn't even really that nervous. I swear, I don't even know me anymore!
Just the usual errands, food shopping, manicure and ran to the mall to return somethings for CJ. Managed to get in a lot of steps.
Nora, that's great that you and hubby can get out for a bit on Saturday. You deserve it! How is mom doing? Called my parents today and daddy answered the phone. He seemed fine! Happy, upbeat and his usual energetic else, I'll take it as it comes!
Love you all and wishing yoy a peaceful night.

Re: One Step at a Time - October 2017

Happy hump day! Hope you all enjoyed your day. Had the baby today, so my day was good! His personality is starting to peek through. Lucy and him kind of interacted a bit today and it was beyond precious. Erin captured a little of it on her phone.
Nora, I do think I have seen that movie. Just wondering how often the CNA comes in for you mom. Do you find it very helpful and does it provide you with some relief?
Techie, I do hope you are feeling better. Let us know?
Rusty and glassy, hope you are enjoying your week. Pauly, haven't heard from you in forever. Hope things with you are going well. How is Kelly feeling?
I'm off to read a little. Is it just me or is there nothing good to watch on tv on a Wednesday night?

I have been wondering about all our missing peeps too. I hope that it means that they are busy having fun.

The CNA comes out twice a week - Tuesday & Thursday to bathe Mom. That has been great. And one nurse comes out on Tuesday and a different nurse comes out on Saturday. It does make me feel so much better. Just having someone else checking her on a regular basis that we can talk to about what changes there have been. I am so grateful.

How fun that you had Logan today. What a joy. I think that's so cute that he & Lucy interacted. I'm so glad that she's not jealous. How fun for you. When does Erin have to go back to work? Does she have a lot more time off?

Good Early Morning, Frineds!

Liz-delighted you had the baby and I am so glad that he and Lucy had a chance to get acquainted. So nice to hear your Dad is sounding well. I know how worrisome it can be to have elderly parents.

Nora-It's about time you got some relief and I am thrilled for you that the CNAs/nurses are working out so well.

I work locally today and have to finish up some work before I go so Happy Thursday, everyone!

Happy Thursday! Stayed up way too late last night watching The Accountant with Ben Afflick. It was pretty good, but I fell asleep about half hour before it ended, grrrr! I hope hubby dvrd it because we knew we were getting sleepy.
Rusty, I am glad that you are local today. I'm sure there's nothing like sleeping in your own bed.
Nora, I am glad that you have some help now. I saw you post on fb and I know Erin has a baby monitor that sounds similar to what you want. I really don't know what the difference is, but I can ask her about it and get the brand. Dan can check in on the baby from work whenever he wants. Pretty cool if you ask me. Logan is in his own room now in the crib and Erin can watch him on the monitor from her bed!
Well asking for some positive thoughts today. Mark has to go to traffic court! He got a ticket for running a red light in NY while on a business trip. Totally unfair if you ask me. He was at a red light, in an area he had never been. He was stopped at the light, asked his coworker sitting next to him if you can make a right on red in NY state. Coworker replied, I don't know. Mark checked the traffic and proceeded to make a right on red. Cop pulled him over and hit him with the highest penalty he could give him! Running a red light. He said it was clearly posted.
So he and his dad are going tonight to talk it down.
Ok I need to go calm myself down now. Have a great day. I love you all and appreciate you being here:love:
