Evening folks, me too, near the end it was 95% drinking at home.
1. I could afford to buy way more and 2. The bar never shut at my house.

Shout out to Tony unless I have missed his posting somewhere, talk to us buddy.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Good morning,
tonyniceday........give us a wave bonnie lad.

In work again today. Found an empty 3 litre bottle of cider hidden in the mens toilets.........felt a bit of sadness in my heart for whoever left it.

No dreams last night..........out like a light by a 11pm and tbh could do with another couple of hours.

Aunt's funeral not 'til 2nd of November. Takes an age to find a humanist minister.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

How on earth can you conceal 3 litre bottle??? Still laugh - YEARS ago went once to an alcohol counsellor up in Drogheda - she was a clown - but I was put to wait in a big room with chairs laid out - underneath one was an empty sherry bottle! Took a photo an all!!!!
Ah yeah home drinking was me too - very very few folk out in the world would have had a clue bout me

Morning all. Am sure your aunts funeral will be lovely JC. My neighbor was at a humanist one recently and said it was the nicest one she had ever been at. If you can ever call being at a funeral nice. Although if it is an older person it can be a real celebration of their life.

Daughter is keeping me busy and the other one coming at weekend so I get you Molly. Have to say I like having the balance of seeing them and then having the place to myself. Would not like it if the place was empty all the time either, hard to keep us happy. Off on a walking weekend with hubby next weekend so that will keep me happy and daughters and maybe one boyfriend are meeting us for dinner Saturday night as we are staying over. It’s not far away but the walk starts early Sunday morning and it’s my birthday weekend so treating myself. Hope all ok with Tony, check in if you are reading this.

Sounds lovely Rusters
I'm one of the lucky few who DREAMS of an empty nest - I work with a woman and her idea of hell is just her and her hubby! and she likes him!
I don't DO funerals - I don't go to them - even relations - I don't even talk about them - when we're dead we're dead and if we manage to make it to 80 say -- I reckon it'll be a blessed release to die so I don't even think it's sad -- on the spectrum? me?
Off to work - laters xx

Hey you two😀 😀So good to 'see' yiz again. Big hugs x

Know I was never good at this online thing but am finding it rough trying to navigate the site.

How are you both? Been trying to read back but read above- it ain't easy!

Jacks - I take it you've lost an Aunt? Very sorry for your loss x how're Mr JC and the two young uns and Bess doing? Are you still working at the treatment centre?

Molls - how about you and your clan? Did Joe ever sell the shop? Have ye emigrated to sunnier climes?!

Not much strange or new with me. I'm still in the same job, tho oftentimes feel like walking and saying feck the lot of you!

Have had a tough year losing an Aunt, Uncle and very close friend- all quite sudden and still hard to process tbh.
My poor Dad has taken the loss of his bro and sis very bad as he would've been so close to them, and I've been worried about his mental state and memory so been doing a lot of commuting between Belfast and home.

Still have much 'work' to do on myself too. spent so long hiding in a bottle of red my sense of worth and esteem is still low and needing work but hey ho!

Ahh Sweetie, that's a tough time for you and your Dad.

I changed volunteering jobs back in February.....or was it January. Sent you the link.

Jenny's still engaged and doing teacher training now.. Going to teach Physics and Chemistry. S&H and his girlfriend bought a house last year and are on their way back from Rome as I type.

Bess is just a bit slower and a bit older (13) but still rules the roost.

Good on ya Jacks- will check out the link

Yuck and double yuck on physics and chemistry- my two least favoured subjects, them and maths! Boke at thought! Could be wrong but think they are subjects that are crying out for teachers so fingers crossed Jenny will have no bother getting a job. Hopefully the pay cap will be lifted in time for her qualifying too. Any idea when wedding will be?

There'll prolly be no bother her getting a job. She's always loved the sciences..........she can sing the perodic table. I loathed the subject.

No idea when the wedding will be. Hoping before the end of the decade
