Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol - October 2017

I seriously doubt that men are less forthcoming. Men put in groups seem to behave compassionate towards eachother. I am canadian, white though with olive skin and the traditional height and have some serious social science behaviour behind me. Not all men are like me. I find it difficult to class me and women and race together. We are free. I am educated so I can emapathize with you in a heart beat. That does not make me gay, it makes me empathetic. We are different.

Evening Rusty and Empys! sent you a pm back Rust -- my box is nearly full tho so must delete some..
I certainly didn't mean that men don't empathize - and maybe it's an Irish thing -- it's like they need to be seen as 'stronger' than women - and I don't mean physically.. my husband of 40 years is only now learning that he doesn't have to be 'stronger' or be the minder all the time - he even lets me mind HIM occasionally which is rather sweet --

Bit late today.
There's the joke that women use on-line forums as the chain from the kitchen sink only reaches as far as the computer

I reckon these days men are as confused as women..........women these days are supposed to be heading companies, while making jam, breast feeding on demand and be able to parallel park. Men on the other hand are supposed to be finding there inner goodness, brotherhood and sisterhood, being family men and also understanding of every single emotion known to human kind..........that is an extreme example.

We're all trying to do the right thing but forgetting what the right thing for us as individuals is. Of course racism, sexism and elitism is wrong, wrong, wrong on all levels.........I am no better or worse than the next person.

I think what I'm trying to say we have to be the best person we can be today.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

I want to learn that off and drop it casually into conversation
Couldnt agree more, equality doesnt mean we should be the same.. how boring would that be.

The odd thing is that although rusty and I speak forthcoming about everything. I really do not talk about gender and im sure most would have no clue. We do love you and would not hesitate in a moment to stand behind you. There is not separation of self. This might be canadian.

As a canadian. We ARE different. Everyone I meet is different. We are not special. We see things differently. If you are white, black, indian i really dont care. This is such an obscure culture you be hard to find anything like it. I am proud of what we have made despite its issues.

Jackie-I didn't want to get out of bed either this morning...set my alarm for 4:30 AM and rolled over and went back to sleep until 6. Hahah!
empyr3al, I am half Canadian French. . I leave for Ottawa tomorrow for work. I have never been to Ottawa so this should be interesting.

Have a grand day, everyone!
