Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol - October 2017
Hi all. Could not get on this morning. Hope the back is ok Molly. Mary, try meditation, it saved me from killing my eldest. Now not good at doing it every day. Have notions that I will but don’t get around to it but while I was doing the course it got me through it.

Anyone any thoughts on this, maybe its fine, or alternative remedies??
Do you have a Holland & Barret over there. They'll be able to advise. I've got a lovely wee lavender pouch that goes under my pillow ( a pressie from a lully friend) and that helps.
And our Jenny swears by green tea.It could be worse, I could be filing.

anyway - just gonna do the magic trick NS told me about ages ago -(lying flat down - face down on the floor.... simple as that) - worked the last time, but today I was so sore I couldn't even get down on the floor -- think I can now so will give an update.... ;-)
How's you all? back to work tomorrow but at least it's a late shift... missing two men round here - Tony and Arsey?? Just realised our lovely Tabbers is heading for his year anniversary --- how good is that Tabs!!!!
Anyway -- off to do my NS magic -- talk in a bit xx
Thanks for the shout out Mollydear but it's over two months away till I hit 1 year. Not getting complacent but even with Chrimbo on the horizon I have no doubt I will be celebrating with everyone else on Dec 31st, but for my own special reason.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol - October 2017
Good morning Army,
Mary - if ya can go with mindfulness/meditation as Molls nTabbers say, they are good at helping you alter how to view and deal with life situations. In saying that I'm a bit of a cheat/ failure and still take beta-blockers on days that are bad. The mindfulness/meditation I find are like physical exercise and need to be practised daily so that they become like an automatic reaction.
Wouldn't it be great if we won the lotto and could eliminate at least one stressor (work) from our lives?!
On that note I'm away,
Have a good day all x

Evening all,
We've had Harry Potter, a Lego man, lots of witches, the teeniest 3 year old dressed as a werewolf (he was sooooooooooo cute). Been a little bit of effort made. I have for the next hour or so given away being cynical about the whole business.
sweetpea29.......now listen you've obviously seen your doctor about the beta blockers and been prescribed.......not cheating and sooooooooooo not a failure.
Went to the hairdresser this morning and it was lovely. Have to say its not cheap but its a real treat.
Mr JC buying a new suit so expecting him in any minute for a fashion show.It could be worse, I could be filing.
