Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-November 2017

I've taken valium a couple of times in past 8 or so years but I've talked it through with the doctor. If she'd have said no then I wouldn't have taken them. She never prescribes more than 12 x2mg at a time. Once was when my Granny died and I thought the anxiety was about to jump out of my mouth and the other for flying...............and yes I'm ashamed to say did take half a one of the dog's just to see if it worked and felt nothing.

Anti-depressants on the other hand are not mind changing they are mind stabilising........they're not a quick fix and they're are not happy pills.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

I really don't think you are approaching his condition with the severity and gravity required, man-flu is quite obviously a completely different aliment to a female head cold, the complete opposite end of the spectrum. I just hope none of yis every have to suffer like us men do with this appalling affliction.

          Evening Army..
          Bit nippy out there now...
Went kids clothes shopping today. I HATE shopping (unless its for myself, by myself with a large wad of gifted notes or vouchers and its really early in the morning). I dont know where all the people come from, the shops are completely mobbed. Queues out the doors.. is this Christmas shopping? Have they nothing else to be doing? And the amount of men, feeling the fabric and having long discussions about the pros and cons of a denim shirt.. V sexist thing to say, sorry men! Im just not used to it...

Well went for my visit to 'the quare place'.
Young Satz is loving it. Embracing all the counselling, Yoga, meditation, the companionship of other addicts etc.
So much so I don't think he'll want to come out :egad:
It's a lovely tranquil setting . I can see how Molls loved it too.

Mers did you say you know someone coming out today from same place ?

                  Good morning Army

                  How are we all?

Molls hope Joe recovers soon from his 'affliction' and that youse both get to enjoy the holiday x

                  Jacks how's yer tooth?

Satz- so good to hear the young fella is making most of and enjoying the 'quare' place. You must have some sense of relief x

Tabbers did ye get the wood chopped? Have heard talk of a v cold spell coming. Only thing I dread is snow. My house is at top of a hill, atop a bigger hill. Always a few degrees colder up here than city centre and nightmare to get to in snow. Hope you're feeling better too x

Mary -feel your pain re the shopping. It's not so much the shopping but crowds of people that do my noggin in. not good for panic attacks either!

Afraid I have not started gratitude list nor did I do anything productive with afternoon. By time I left work late all I could think of was sleep.... And Sleep I did!!! woke and watched an episode of 'gunpowder' on iplayer which then perked my interest in that era and what was going on so I spent what felt like hours reading up on the history of that time- all very interesting yet murky too. Then it was time for bed again! No stinking drinking thoughts tho which is good.

Hiya to Rustop, Gman and rest of yiz

I am grand thanks for asking. Living uphill is always a good idea and I have always born that in mind, the idea of being flooded never appealed. Some wood chopped, enough for the week.
