Evening all -- good luck with the funeral (or whatever wishes one should give re. a funeral) -- had a near ROW with daughter and Joe today when I said I wouldn't dream of going to my sisters funeral -- they think I'm mad ---- can't imagine why I WOULD go??? hopefully she'll just pop her clogs and I'll know nothing about it...!!

Yes Rusters -- we do need to think ahead....super important - and it doesn't have to be complicated - just put ourselves - project ourselves into potential situations - and just by seeing them in our minds eye we can 'see' how we can and will react... it's just honestly easy-peasy!

Just in and very tired.. going to have scones and tea and talk later xx

Glad you feeling more yourself Sweetpea. Maybe your subconscious directed you back here to MWO so your support system is to hand. It’s those f it moments that always caught me out. I’m going to be looking for advice soon so I have my plan in place for over the holidays. Have started doing meditation again so that’s a start. In the past I would be sailing along weeks on end and then through sometimes not thinking/planning ahead would have a glass in my hand before I knew it. Safe travels JC. Wave to everyone else.

Hey Rustop, will this be your first Christmas without the booze? You sound well clued in, in how to prepare.

Maybes it was my subconscious brought me back, but honestly I'd been meaning to post or contact Jacks or Molls for ages just to say all was grand, just life took over and time passed.... Possibly have become complacent and forgetting the reasons I ended here in first place..... Dunno.

Someone stick the kettle on...........we're just in and the dog's puked on the floor....we didn't leave her on her own all day the bloke next door came and fed her and took her out for a walk.......there's two things Molls hates funerals and inside dogs.

Found out today the lady in question went to Uni and became a maths teacher in a Grammar School. Amazing for the daughter of a mechanic/handyman from Newcastle in the 1940's.

Mary I hope you find some relief from the rescue remedy tabs x if you can tho defo look into the mindfulness thing, Don't mean to sound ' preachy' but it really helped me at time of the bad panic attacks. Had a great book too can't mind the name of it, sorry, have lent it to a lad at work who was going through rough spot with panic attacks, still to get it back otherwise coulda posted it to ya x. You run too don't ya? Exercise is brill for burning off all that extra adrenaline that our bodies produce at times of stress x

Ah thanks SweetP, your v good. If that lad dips into it from time to time, thats what its all about. You know even the bit of research I did the other night after everyones response about mindfulness, Id swear made a difference. I really didnt know much about it at all. i do run and thats kept me sane this far!

Poor you, that was some training! did they warn you before hand? I get what they were trying to achieve, but still.. how were others afterwards?
I do have mad moments when I wonder, could I jump off the wagon here for 1 night only and jump back on again..but like you, Im already buying the 2nd bottle in my head.. so its never going to end well. I think its the little moments that catch us unawares, hence the confusion maybe.. the big occasions, we have covered!

I’m up, I’m up :happy2::happy2:. Not as productive as you mind. Have had the shower and washed the hair before my walk through as will be rushing to crochet after it. Where you off to? I’m not going anywhere Mary, just thinking ahead to “C” as yes Sweetpea it is the first af one so bit apprehensive. Now off to pack my needles and wool. Love, love love the smell of turf. Associate it with childhood holidays in Donegal. My Granny was from there. Where in the West you from Rustop? Don't answer if that too nosey x You'll be grand for C so long as have a firm plan in place I'm sure x

I've to get car to the car doc ASAP. it was making some awful sounds yesterday eve. Jeez I thought it was gonna conk out in middle of rush hour. Need it back by tomorrow for work again so hoping it ain't too big a job.
