Now Sweetypie - don't let those renegade thoughts grow. By dwelling on them they grow.
Think about the' few' red ones ...... ( funny the language we use - making them sound innocious )
Then think about how to stop at a few. You will not be able - none of us can. Think the whole scenario through to the next morning ....... not so inviting then ?.

Lol at renegade thoughts - I apologise for virtually decapitating yer niece in earlier post! Maybe she needs help too.

I need to get back to my mindfulness and meditation- know that's a healthy form of escapism.

I really don't think you are approaching his condition with the severity and gravity required, man-flu is quite obviously a completely different aliment to a female head cold, the complete opposite end of the spectrum. I just hope none of yis every have to suffer like us men do with this appalling affliction.
