Re: One Step at a Time - November 2017
techie...I will be praying that these treatments work for you. You bring hope and strength to MWO, and we are all in your corner. Sending lots of love to you and thanks for checking in.:heartbeat:
NoSugar@the story of your grandson made me laugh so hard. Thanks for telling us. I was over-peopled yesterday and had a massive headache all day. So glad I leave tonight. I respectfully request a week of limited people. LOL.
Nora-I hope you are feeling better today. How can we help?
My aunt called me last night to wish me a safe flight home and I told her gently that I thought she violated the anonymity rule of AA by disclosing that her friend, who was interviewed on TV, was someone in her AA group. She felt very badly and admitted that I was right and she is leading her AA meeting today so they will be discussing it. Her friend usually comes to this meeting so I will be anxious to hear the outcome.
It has been a horrendous week. My client's boss has been with us the whole time and yesterday, he physically confronted an employee yesterday. OMG do I want to go home!!
Pauly-I know today is your day off. What are your plans? :-)
Big hellos to all my friends here...I need to work out and blow off some steam.
Happy AF Friday!!

Thanks for the check in, techie, sending strength your way.
Why do some people have to be soooo annoying? Lol!
Sounds like a bully boss, Rusty! Can't stand a-holes like him. Had a few in my day. I was very passive aggressive with them, and since I had no fear of losing my job (really), I drove them absolutely crazy! But much better not to have to deal with their crap.

You've probably mentioned it before Rusty, but if I'm not being too nosey, what do you do for a living? I'm betting you own the Guinness Record for frequent flyer miles lol. From the sounds of it, you meet a lot of people, some good, some not so good. I would be hard pressed not to say something to that kind of boss, but I'm learning God gave me two ears and just one mouth for a reason lol.Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Re: One Step at a Time - November 2017
Hi guys. Techie I hope you get great results from your visit to Mexico. Keep us posted?
Rusty, this guy is really giving you a hard time. Are you going home this weekend? Hope you get some down time.
Pauly, thanks for asking about the kids! Erin and Logan were here today. Logan is changing so much! He smiles like all the time down and grabs anything and everything. CJ called yesterday and they are doing well. They are working hard on the house and intermittently working. CJ is currently working as a substitute teacher and not really enjoying the kids. They are a handful. Still no power at home so the generator is coming in handy. It is nice and warm there. They have become friendly with a woman CJ works with and they will be spending thanksgiving together. Yes Switzerland is coming up the beginning of December :welldone:
Nora, I hope all is ok with you. I worry when you are quiet, though you usually do make up for it on the weekends.
Mr. V, always happy to see you popping in.
Glassie, how are you doing ?
Waves to anyone I may have missed. Wishing us all a quiet AF night!

Re: One Step at a Time - November 2017
Happy Saturday Nora
Hi everyone. Liz I'm glad you enjoyed the cruise. Good luck returning to the new job. I hope you remember everything.
Rusty - I hope you don't have to deal with your client's horrible boss too often. What a nasty piece of work!
Pauly - are you feeling better today?
Techie - sending positive vibes for your alternative treatments. xxxx
I babysat HRH again last night. It's so funny seeing her little personality develop. I bought a cot yesterday so my spare bedroom is now half yoga/pilates room and half nursery. It looks so cute!
Have a lovely, safe weekend everyone.Last edited by Glass Half Empty; November 11, 2017, 07:07 PM.There's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes

Hi Glassie! We're doing the same thing with our spare bedroom now. Hubby put up the crib today. I just love having baby things around the house again.
My sisters and I celebrated our birthdays together tonight. Our birthdays are just a few days apart. It was a girls night out. We had a really nice time. We ate at a new Cuban place.
Hope you all enjoyed your day.

:welldone:Happy Birthday, Liz!:welldone:Dill
Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.
