      Metro centre poor thing > I am on the couch watching the Simpsons in a Christmas jumper. Miss you all but still not Mrs internet. Wrapping Christmas presents this evening --- Never used to happen on a Friday evening.

        Haven't started any wrapping. I could wrap on a Friday when I was on the booze but lets just say it was less than perfect and I used to forget where I'd put the damned things.

                    Havnt wrapped anything either [MENTION=7008]JackieClaire[/MENTION].. except the pressies from the posh shops that wrap for you. But then they dont match :waaaa: (Im joking. a bit)

                    Never been as busy in my life, project in work is all consuming, go live is Jan 1st. Xmas parties (avoiding the ones I can), kids parties, family gigs, pressies and more pressies, same as all of us.....
                    Anyway, at no point have I wanted to drink, if anything, I am so grateful Im not in that mad cycle of trying to muddle though every day until I could pour my first glass of wine. How the feck did I ever manage that!!

                      I've just bought bags for all pressies so NO wrapping!!!
                      Think I used to just float through all the prep but I did notice it getting harder as the years rolled on - also much harder when the kids headed towards their teens - things they wouldn't have noticed when younger became well......noticeable - I remember when I was in aiseiri Joey who found it really hard to criticise me said he noticed how I'd go upstairs with a half filled glass and come down with a full one......go figure

                      I'm better Mary bit of an infection but all grand now - on babysitting duties tonight for eabha they are spoiling themselves for a night away so will have her all for myself!!!!!

                        Good morning all. Glad you feeling better Molly, enjoy baby time. Crazy time of year. Had some of the neighbors over for coffee yesterday, know it was only the women but now feel I have done my bit and don’t have to invite them again. Also I only invited the ones I like, getting very anti social in my old age but not putting myself in social situations I don’t enjoy.

                        Use a mixture of bags and paper. Anything that’s hard to wrap goes in a bag. Started watching El Chapo on Netflix,if any of you enjoyed Narcos you will like this. Have a lovely Saturday everyone.

                          Morning ladies, nice to see ya popping in Mrs A. Im off up the woods with dogface for a bit, hard to find spare time atm. Off out to a pre Chrimbo family get together in the pub this afternoon and out to lunch tomorrow.
                          Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

                            I'm with rustytop!! NO social activity that I don't want - Christmas work 'do' tonight - did I feel guilty saying 'no thanks' prior to babysitting request --- NO.... just now I have the PERFECT excuse haha!!! enjoy yer outings Tab - at least now you've a grand bit of sobriety under your belt to navigate Christmas -- always felt quite safe when I was approaching a milestone - particularly THE big one - the full year!! no WAY was I gonna screw that one up -- but like us all - we need to be a cautious little bunny too!!!
