Morning folks, it was very foggy an hour ago but is clearing now and going to be a lovely day I think, I might get a couple of odd jobs done around the garden this morning then put my feet up for the afternoon. Sure glad I aint a headless chicken running around with a hangover still trying to sort presents/food/everything else I had forgotten again this year. I do wonder if my new found sobriety has anything to do with this Christmas build up being so much calmer and my feeling a greater sense of peace?
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

@Tabbers I feel the same way this Christmas, and I think that it has a lot to do our sobriety. No matter what the cause, it sure feels good. :happy2:

                  Good morning,
Oooh you're finally building my guest room, Molls. Hope you remembered to put a jacuzzi in the en-suite.

I have a feeling that the Christmas seasons we were drinking we were striving for perfection...........you know the thing ........ I might be an alkie but I can put on a good show..

These days I'm a damned sight more relaxed.

HAHA -- well after a day of Joe deciding that drains and car washing and sorting his toolbox were the essential 'to do' jobs I KNOW that I'd have left him if I'd had a bottle of wine in me -- so YEAH -- glad the head was clear:applouse:

Did you know that Santa doesn't come if the drains aren't done or the car polished or in our case if the whole house isn't hoovered 10 minutes before the turkey comes out of the oven.

It was a case today of if you stood still to long you'd get wrapped and a bow stuck on you.

                            Evening,

I am way more relaxed, although I still feel under pressure. But Im not drowning in it, or my sorrows. I would be quite pickled now, worried about the hangover Id have to cope with, but still pouring another.
Think Ive more confidence in myself now, so if the turkey is a tad dry again, sure the gravy will fix that.. and so on...

Our septic tank blocked up new year eve morning a few years back. All the inlaws due New years day. Myself and Mr M got very drunk, had a massive row. I was a mess the next day, , barely speaking to husband, bad shakes, shit tank man in in the garden, 10 arriving for 2.... bad memory!!!

Evening gang. Hope we're all well ?

                              MOAN ALERT :egad:
Been a bit outta sorts recently. Not sure if it's the Ma or the youngfella or the job.
Decided Christmas is a pain in the arse can't wait for it to be over. All the forced jollity pisses me off no end.
The strain of young Satz and my mother here for Christmas is stressing me too.

Apart from all that I'm grand :haha:
