Re: One Step at a Time - December 2017
Hi everyone. Just a quick pop in for me. We are back home safe and sound. Dealing with jet lag today, but I'm not complaining. Having trouble keeping my eyes open. I did read back. I have missed you all!
Nora, are the kids going to find out the sex of the baby or are they going to wait for the birth? Is she having morning sickness at all?Last edited by Lizann; December 12, 2017, 11:00 PM.

Re: One Step at a Time - December 2017
Hey lovelies
I know this time of year, although beautiful, also often brings stress. So remember to take care of you!
I thought this might be a good time to remind ourselves of ways to NOURISH ourselves by Jolene Park:
Notice Nature
Observe your breath
Unite with others
Replenish with food
Initiate movement
Sit in stillness
Harness your creativity
xxxThere's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes
You can dig the ventilation... or you can sing the blues
I didn't come this far to only come this far.

Glassie:heartbeat:Thank you for posting such thoughtful words. Hope you are not overwhelmed with work.
techie dear, how are you feeling?
Off to work today...long commute but I will spend the night in a hotel.
Thank you Nora and Pauly for your kind thoughts about my volunteer work. It really does make me so very grateful that I can see, hear, and truly enjoy the holiday season. The majority of the deaf/blind community my mom and I serve are so poor and lonesome, they are so appreciative of any kind of emotional and financial support. A chuckle for you today: My sister fills in for me sometimes and takes my mom to the deaf/blind social events. My sister is a lovely person, but she is very reserved around people she doesn't know well. She's very classy and conservative. One deaf/blind client, Joanne, calls my sister the "proper" sister and I am the "fun" sister. Ha Ha Ha!!!
Happy Thursday, Everyone!

Re: One Step at a Time - December 2017
Good morning loves! Glassie, what lovely words. Yes I needed that reminder.
I'm still up to my eyeballs in mail! Food shopping today and Lucy needs to get groomed today. Snowing outside and frigid!
Rusty, I know how much you enjoy entertaining. I'm glad it went well.
Our trip was fabulous! It was breathtakingly beautiful. I did ski in the alps:egad:, well ok, more like snow plowed down the hill! Iwe ended up taking the wrong chair lift and ended up at the top of the mountain, the expert slope! The chair lift attendant only spoke Swiss and we tried to signal to him to left us not get off and go back down. He stopped the lift and told us to get off. My husband finally thought to speak to him in German and told him I was scared and we wanted to go back down. That he understood! He laughed and let us ride the lift down, crisis averted. We did a lot of touring around and shopping at the Christmas Markets. Our apartment was 10 min walk from center of town and was so lovely. I think I could live there! Anyway, I hope all my Christmas shopping is down now. Will take inventory in a bit.
Off to start my day! Happy Thursday!
