        Hi Again!!

I AM DONE WITH MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPPING! On to the paperwork. Bore, bore, bore. Then, finish the Christmas cards for family and friends and then thank-you notes for all the gifts people bestowed upon me at my brunch. Wow, I should have made out an inventory of what people gave me so I don't inadvertently forget a gift....kind of like the registry the maid of honor keeps for the bride while she opens her gifts at her bridal shower. Ah, next year. LOL

          Just lost a long post!!!
Rusty, your bathroom sounds wonderful. We had to put ours on hold for awhile. I may come over and enjoy yours. Glad your done with shopping, seems like there's always just one more thing!
Nora, your day off sounded lovely and well deserved!
Glassy, I am sorry you will be missing one for Christmas! Maybe HRH will help fill that void a bit?
CJ is here alone. Joe couldn't take a lot of time off for work. CJ will start her job in January. She is teaching 3 & 4th grade. She is excited.
I baked and made soup today. The house smells amazing. Off to meet Joes newest niece.
Have a great AF Thursday guys!

Rusty, this is the first time in 15 years that I am off between the holidays. I am sorry you have to work, I get it. Maybe picturing yourself soaking that new tub would help?

OK - as long as you don't mind us sharing the guestroom and the tub!

What is everyone doing for Christmas Day?
I'm having it at my place for the first time in years. It will be a 'traditional' Australian Christmas - lots of salads, with pavlova and plum pudding ice cream for dessert. And playing with HRH in the pool for so long that hopefully she'll have a nap in the afternoon!

Liz - you sound more relaxed than I've heard you in years. I'm so happy to hear that.

Rusty - you also sound very 'on top of things' (best way I can describe it for now).

Nora - I'm sending you some extra hugs my love.

And Pauly - where are you? Check in please.

BTW - this is super secret, but just between us I have reason to believe that there will be "an announcement" from G2 in the very near future. Watch this space!!

                        Funny Christmas story,

G1 was just telling me how much fun they've had filling HRH's first little Christmas stocking.

I got all nostalgic and said "Oh, how sweet. Do you remember your little stockings?"

And G1 said - "Well yes Mum - you gave me my last one when I was 20!"

                        :rotlf:

Can't wait to hear the news! I think it's hilarious that you gave your son his last stocking at 20...but my sister has topped you....she still has St. Nick Day here for her three grown children...stockings stuffed to the brim...and the youngest of her 3 is 25! Hahah! Hmmm....if you and G are going to be in my tub then I better have some music piped into the new bathroom. Hahahah!!!

Glassie, I will be glued here waiting for the announcement! Must admit I'm a little jealous of the swimming in the pool, but I'll get over it. Your holiday sounds lovely and you sound relaxed as well.

Rusty, I still do St. NIck for my kids, too! Even Lucy. Of course, Logan got more than the others. It's such fun buying for the little ones.

Christmas Eve we will go to church and then come back here, just the kids and my parents. Mom made her famous Rouladen just because CJ is home. Not traditional on Christmas Eve, but we love it! Christmas Day we will go to my older sisters house and celebrate with the rest of my family. We don't traditionally celebrate with hubby's family as they are heading down to south jersey. Long story but works for me.

                            Happy AF Friday guys!

Good morning! Hope everyone is doing well! It's warm and rain here today. What's everyone up to today?
Went to Erin's last night for dinner. His side of the family was there too. It was a lovely evening and she did a great job entertaining. I taught her well! I ate way too much and already the scale is being unkind. Trying to stay positive, but right now dad isn't doing great. He is having physical as well as mental issues. We are hoping he will be ok to be here tomorrow. Mom is stressed and sad. Right now she doesn't want us there helping her. A bit frustrating to say the least. I just needed to get that off my chest. I am a bit teary this morning.
Wishing you all a great AF Saturday!
