No doubt ICE would be on the agenda JC. Re booze, i've read recently in the media all over, folks campaigning to push AL prices up/make cheap booze less accessible? then there are the fizzy, sweet tasting soft drink like booze laden drinks marketed at younger people, particularly women. Love to hear your feedback on the talk.

big waves to y'all.

Evening all - just in from work - thanks for kind words and fecking great to see Arsey and Tony still around - these first days are so shagging precious -- each of them worth months later on in sobriety.. the truly POXY hungover angst craving ridden first days are done now - they are like the first 3 days of quitting cigarettes if either of you ever experienced that quit? Now it's out of your system.. jeez lads don't waste it! Yer doing great!!!

Would love to see that Jacks - cinema OR theatre... my pet part of history at the moment... I'm in Gaul with Vercingetorix and all Julius's legions at the mo

Anyway - watching silent witness and going to bed - Joe and Joey have now had a falling out so may run away from home soon - now THERE'S a plan:welldone:

Will do Mr G..........you know I'm not so sure that putting prices up will do any good..........tbh reckon it would lead to more shop-lifting and thievery........imprisoning isn't the answer as they'll just be locked up and alcohol and drug help in prisons is dismal.........no fault at all for those that work in the prisons .......just funding. Its all very well for the fat cats in government as they reach for another glass of a decent claret muttering on and shaking their heads.............it needs to get back to the roots, proper and affordable treatment, education from an early age, longer than half an hour tuition on addiction for student doctors.
I would however ban the production of those ciders like White Lightening, ciders that have the nearest they've been to an apple is the one of the workers have brought an apple for their lunch. Oh and energy drinks............who the feck invented energy drinks...........we get tired for a reason Happy Hour...............get rid..........we're not stupid...............fill us full of cheap crap and then we'll hit the hard stuff.Bring back proper licensing hours............yep its a bit of a giggle for the rare occasion but every day of the week.
As for Ice I'm not sure how big a hold its got in the UK yet.........there's always a yet Its Spice that's doing the rounds here. Zombies are real around here.

I'm running out of steam.

I could go on.

Molls, I didn't understand a thing that went on in last nights Silent Witness. Hope when we watch this episode it becomes a bit clearer.

I've downloaded Julius Caesar to my kindle..........did for my O-Levels back when I was 16 and loved it.

Well done to the lads, fingers crossed, you might never have to repeat those couple of days..
I had a vivid dream the other night where I told everyone that I don't drink!
I think I have spent hours practicing those words in the last few years, followed by a variety of reasons which are rarely sought - people mostly dont care.
A tricky night on the horizon so my subconscious is even practicing!

Molly, hope your stress is temporary.

7.30 is EXTREMELY early JackieClaire! but sounds worth it.

Hey G,
Agree with everything JC said. Especially the education bit. I want my kids to see the horrors of drugs, how uncool they are, alcohol the same - teenagers respond to the vanity side, but all the rest too. Then show them fit, witty interesting kids. just plant little seeds.. and big seeds.

Is it inevitable though sometimes?

Good morning from a very achey (sp) non. Went hill walking in Wales yesterday and it was very icy. Extremely scary and slippery.
Hope all is well with everyone--Will read back when I have had breakfast.

Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

‘Scuse me ignorance but I never have heard of this Rory Gallagher bloke... maybe I has had my ears tuned to a different frequency.

Day 4, in between classes so just the quickest pop in to say - hello. Hello.

Has first drinking dream last night - that I had drunk on day 3 or 4 and hadn’t realised I was drinking until I had drunk something and then felt shit that I’d broken my promise to myself and would feel sheepish coming back in here. But, no, so far, so good. *phew*

Better squiz off - have a good after noon
