Hello Army and a belated Happy New Year to all !
Thought it about time I dropped by the barracks and after a short read back - I guess I picked a good day!
First of all - good job to both Tony and RC for being on Day 1 and doing the smart thing by coming here to post. MWO in general and the Army in particular has always been a great source of support, advice and inspiration and judging by the posts, nothing has changed. Great advice given as usual by the troops and best of luck to both of you. As KTAB said - it's hard but it is so worth it!!
To KTAB - huge congratulations on your one-year AF mark. Great job!! Another fine example that if we want something bad enough, we can do it. Very proud of you and as you said - being AF is truly life-changing in such a great way. I just wish I'd known years ago what we know now!!
Molly - congratulations on the new grand-daughter and on her Mom's continuing education. Brilliant news on both accounts!!
Mrs. A - Happy Birthday to you and my best wishes for many more to come. Again - another example of what can be accomplished when Al is out of the picture!!
Satzy - don't know what to say about young Satz. Wishing you the patience and courage to get through this til he finally makes the decision that he can't drink again. Admittedly not easy at his age. Not that that is any excuse but there is so much peer pressure as we all know.
Jackie - hoping that Jenny can distance herself from the ex and make a new start. We all know from your pasts posts that she is a strong young woman. As you said - better now that some years down the road.
Mr. G - keep on keepin' on!! So great to see your progress. It can only bet better by keeping Al out of the picture. So much to do , to see and to experience in our world.
Hiya Rusty! I get to do the airport run next weekend when younger son and his family return from 15 days in freezing, frigid Canada!!
Mary - best of luck with the cranky teenager. I'm glad I don't have to deal with that. Mind you older grandson will be there in a few years but his parents will get to deal with it not me!! I love my grandkids dearly but one of the good things is you get to send them home to their parents.
Hello to anyone I've missed and again wishing you all a happy, healthy and productive 2018. And of course, make in an AF one!!!
