Thanks for all the messages of support.

Welll a better day today.....told I didn't have to go back in to work after fracture clinic so I was able to keep an appointment with a bank....so that's sorted. Seeing another house on Friday which looks more promising... and it's a bit cheaper as well so hopefully it will be ok. Don't fancy the slugs and 50p leccy meter so I'll put myself in amateur surveyor mode!

Discharged from fracture clinic so the brace, which replaced the plaster cast a couple of weeks ago will be ceremonially burnt - although I may keep the steel insert - never know when you might need a tyre lever!

Another day when without AB it would have been easy to slip into a bar after work and the appointments but I didn't and I won't, but I hope these cravings pass or I may have to resort to Cadbury's Dairy Milk in bulk again...

All sounds positive Tony - get yer aul gratitude head going too - as soon as you feel up to it write out the BALD FRANK HONEST reasons why you cant drink - worked for me big time something bout writing it down - the antabuse is a crutch not a solution - the treatment centre were quite anti it which at first I didn't understand - their fear was that it would be used instead of essential work on recovery which I now fully understand - you're really doing the hard yards now - brilliant stuff xxx

Also cannot believe Arsey got his phone back!
Still coughing here but all aches and pains gone. Just feel knackered but so happy today.
For my 70th birthday last year we went to America for a special holiday. Our flights got cancelled on our way back and we had to stay for an extra three days. Because of the disruption we were offered free flights to anywhere in America before February. We are off to the Bahamas!!

I got my phone back!

So what happened was a runner (former international rugby player who runs with my club now) lives at the bottom of the wee mountain. He's often up the hill 2-3 times a week with his dug, Ted. There's an app called Strava for runners/cyclists to post up their runs/cycles and, like Facebook, you can follow or have follow people you so they're on your feed. Anyway, we follow each other on Strava and he said he;d have a look next time he's up. He went up on Tuesday afternoon and ... found it lying in the middle of the grassy path coming down the north side of the hill. 1% battery left. Took it home, charged it the posted his run on Strava, posting a comment to me to say he'd found it. So, i went to his yesterday evening to pick it up.

And it IS true. It DOES still work (though no longer charges from my laptop, but does through the mains....odd?).

So that is the story of the finding of Arsey's iPhone and that miracles do happen. Even for cynical arses like Arsey :haha:

Jenny had her interview for the High School today............apparently it went okay.

Jenny's getting a load of furniture from Mr JC's aunt who died the end of last year. That girl lands on her feet every time.

Oh the fecking crochet square is finished.............now when I say square just imagine Picasso had painted a square.......its got a couple of rounded corners, the bottom is bigger than the top, its got a 2 or 3 holes in it and it sags in the middle but its ever such a pretty yellow.

And I wouldn't mind a couple of weeks in the Bahamas.
