Re: One Step at a Time - January 2018
Happy New Year Nora, the quotes are perfect. I came back to chatbox last evening but no one was there. I would have kept the window open and waited, but Netflix was calling. LOL I'll be looking in there every now and then, now that abcowboy has led the way! It was fun chatting with you and Jude58 yesterday. NoSugar and others, too! Our New Years Eve was quiet and af, just the way we like it! Nice to be cozy and warm and watching Netflix. Of course I was in bed by 10:00. Midnight was just too far off for me!Last edited by dill; January 1, 2018, 06:40 AM.Dill
Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Happy New Year everyone. I woke up at 1:30 am with the stomach flu. :frog::grey::hungover::eeew:
I decided that was the best way to do it. Get the sickness out of the way for 2018. LOL Anyway, better than I was but still running a temp. I will catch up with everyone later."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Happy New Year!:sohappy:
Nora:sad: So sad that you have stomach flu...you poor thing! Hope you feel better soon.
Pauly-how are you doing?
Liz-how exciting that you and hubs will be taking care of Logan while Erin goes back to work. Are you going to keep working or did your plans change when you found out you will be taking care of that delightful little bundle of joy? ;-) You sound so happy!
Glassie- the cleaning maven. I hate cleaning, and I am sure your home is immaculate. I love that you and Rags can connect and excited for you that you are going to learn how to scuba dive. I have never done it...and I'm sure it's because I've seen the movie, "Jaws" about a hundred times. Hahahaha!
A world of thanks to NoraC, JackieClaire and@abcowboy for posting the wonderful New Year's images!! Love them.
I had a fantastic New Year's Eve! My friend's party was a blast and I stayed until almost midnight. Texts from family and friends wishing me a Happy New Year kept me awake until 2:00 AM. LOL
techie dear, please check in. We are all worried about you here.
Happy New Year to everyone I missed.:heartbeat:

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Re: One Step at a Time - January 2018
I'm here. My brother is taking my mom to the ER as I type this...she fell over 2 weeks ago and did not tell us!!!:cuss::cuss: She told me the pain was bearable during the day but really bad towards evening. She did not want to worry me...and my sister, her primary caregiver, is stuck in SC due to the weather. I did not mean to desert our thread but I did not have anything new to say...until today. :-( Back later.

Re: One Step at a Time - January 2018
Hi, Nora. Don't want you to feel lonely .
Rusty, I'm sorry about your mom. She must be one tough lady to have put up with nightly pain for 2 weeks without telling anyone. I hope whatever got hurt is easily fixable and heals quickly.
Liz, how did babysitting go? Are you and your husband doing it together? I'm doing it a couple of times a week, too. It is good when the adult:kid ratio is 1:1 but it can be pretty challenging when they have me outnumbered :egad: and the hours are long. I don't like to have the infant crying but I also don't like shunting the older one aside. I guess when it was my kids I realized everyone couldn't be happy all the time but as a grandma, I want them to be!! Anyway, I hope you have fun with him .
