Re: One Step at a Time - January 2018
Hey, how's everyone? A bit of a snowy start to the day, but really not a bad day. Walking back to the car this evening was a bit icy. Happily inside curled up with Lucy and my blanket.
Hope everyone had an easy AF hump day.

Re: One Step at a Time - January 2018
Hi From Idaho,
I talked to Mom tonight and she was in SO much pain and she sounded so tired and defeated. She is off to the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to see if there is something else they can do for her. So grateful my sister continues to take her to all her appointments. I am also grateful that my sober for almost 10 years aunt (my mom's sister) is staying with her, especially since my sister leaves for Italy on Sunday. We are all so relieved that she will stay with my Mom and take care of her.
I hope everyone had a peaceful day!
AG...check in, please!
allswell....how are you?
Off to bed. See you tomorrow. :-)

Re: One Step at a Time - January 2018
Rusty, I am so sorry about your mom, but am glad that she has loved ones close by taking such good care of her. Does she need hip replacement? My FIL was 90 and was practically bed ridden with pain. He had the surgery and was back up and doing within a few weeks. He lived 2 more quality full years. I hope there is an easy solution for your mom.
Yesterday we had snow, maybe 3 inches, no big deal really. I worked till about 6 and hubby had the baby. I called my mom and said we'd be over today to help them clear there snow. Mom said dad had happily and easily already done it:egad: a part of me is glad he was able to do it. He needs to feel useful, but really? Normally hubby would've done it, but now with the baby, it's not that easy to get over there. We shall figure it all out.
Nothing much on the agenda today. Getting a manicure in a bit. I picked up CJ and joes wedding album and got a flash drive of all their pictures. I will go through them today and pick one or two to put in frames for the living room. We went from baby picture to high school grad, to college grad pictures and now two out of the three are wedding pictures! (And now grandbabytoo). We've arrived and I am so grateful that they turned out so amazing. Just feeling thankful today.
I'm calling today thankful Thursday. Here's hoping you all have/find things to be thankful for today! Ok sermon over. Have a great day, I love you all:heartbeat:

Re: One Step at a Time - January 2018
Good Morning,
Liz-You sound so happy....you have a right to be proud of your kids, your family, husband, and your life...I am delighted for you. There is NO easy solution for my mom. She had her hip replaced many years ago...I don't think she would survive the surgery and we don't want to put her through any more pain. Thankful Thursday...I love it! Because of the situation with my mom, I have fallen WAY behind on getting my reports to my customers in a timely fashion. One of my clients was angry and called yesterday. I explained the situation and he turned to mush. He was very kind and understanding. Today, I am grateful for understanding clients. Getting sad again here so will sign off for the day. Happy Thankful Thursday!

Rusty, I'm so sorry to hear your mom is in such pain. I hope she gets some relief and soon! It just seems so unfair that she has to deal with this.
Pauly, congrats! So happy for you and your family!
Hello Liz and LC!
Nora, good idea to have the chat room placed at the top of the Forum page. Maybe it will breathe new life into the place!Last edited by dill; January 18, 2018, 04:08 PM.Dill
Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.
