Sounds rotten Starty- all I know about painkillers addiction was listening to folks in treatment- they avoided anything wherever possible but it was the codeine in the OTC ones they avoided at all costs- and apparently when taken at the recommended dose the codeine painkilling effect was negligible anyway so with just the ibuprofen or the aspirin or paracetamol ones you should be fine as they aren't addictive? That's just my memory anyway

Up and about for a 9 to 6normal day shift today which means office work most of the day....yawn!

Morning Tony!

you're on a normal day and I'm on a late!! thought I'd have the place completely -- as in COMPLETELY to myself this morning cos Joe had a hospital appointment -- think Joey's off work today instead.... FFS -- I'll NEVER get rid of everyone haha!!!
Do worry about Joey a bit - I know he's a big boy - he's 23 - but he's completely burning the candle at both ends - up with his partner and baby till midnight - 1pm every night and then back up for work at 5am - guessing he's literally burnt out.. BUT -- he's a big boy as I say and he needs to realise he has to compromise a bit - less baby - more sleep.... if he was off on the razzle it would be easier to deal with... anyway - bit like Starty just needed to say it out.. it's better not to let worries rumble..

Joe gets the decision today whether they are going to re-break his foot and do a bone implant or not -- bit horrified at the thought of it all over again!!!

Other than that -- all good! - Hope you feel better Jacks - and Starty - mouth pain is truly awful..
How are you finding sobriety this time round Tony?(well I know you are heading to work now - so just a question for later) -- you're really clocking up the days -- you and Arsey!

okay -- Joey just appeared and talk about the walking dead!! jeez feel sorry for giving out about him - he's as sick as a dog - and apparently couldn't even make it up to the ladies and it Valentines night! So yeah - he's going back to sleep it off -- so he'll be grand!

Morning , luckily not in work til next week as its half term and there's SFA to do. The tablets are making me as thirsty as feck...which means I'm drinking water like its going out of fashion and peeing a lot......... the sort full feeling in my ear is going and there's not as much pain. I'll take the thirst.

Poor Joey, he must be tired beyond tired.

Poor Starts. I'd do what Jacks says and alternate between the ones with Codeine and the plain Ibuprofen .........
Or try an alternative painkiller that maybe you haven't built up a tolerance to ?

Back in from another day unpacking boxes. Seems I may have what Satz calls a b**** at work - my DHT tells me (never asks) for me to put boxes in a class.Then a sensible teacher suggested (and asked a snr colleague) about putting the boxes in an apt store cupboard. I was then told to move them back by sensible teacher as Snr colleague said yes. So I moved the boxes back. Let the DHT know at lunch. After lunch DHT on warpath accusing sensible teacher of lying that sensible teacher, not the sir colleague, had made the decision... blah di blah... outcome is I have to lumber boxes back down stairs again. Angry DHT. Pissed sensible colleague (who maybe should have informed DHT after speaking to snr colleague). And me now fretting that I've done something wrong! Bolted out the door at 3.15pm.

Home. Food. Read. TV.

Oh yeah, and the cat pissed on the bath mat AGAIN (she does this... trying to work out why... was it me hoovering at 7am?!)

tbh, not sure what it is sometimes. She went about two months without pissing - she used to piss in a couple of places in the living room - hours spent scrubbing, lifting carpet etc etc. those places now covered with furniture and foil - she doesn't like the foil. But the bath mat... at least it's way easier to clean, but as to why, never sure. Sometimes think it's cos she wants her litter tray cleaned more, or more hugs, or ... i dunno. Vet checked her and there's no urinary infection...

oh - very much 'WITH' -- they are absolute lovebirds again - her mother is not too keen on them together tho cos as I say he did reject her in early pregnancy - he regrets it deeply but he's making up on a daily basis I feel.. he felt he was entrapped at the time - or more just blind panic maybe - he didn't tell us till she was about 7 months pregnant.. but yeah - a proper little family now.

As regards awkward people at work - jeez I have the noisiest, rudest cow works with me now - she doesn't affect me so much but she's vile to a lovely colleague of mine and it's very disturbing so I sympathise with ye... I think poor Nora over on the Steppers has something similar... not nice at all
