Awake.
In bed, having a cup of tea - bribing the kids to make another. Absolutely no agenda today .. other than shopping, cleaning and de cluttering. — means that everyone will avoid me all day
With you rusto...love feeling alive on Sundays (as I sprawl here on my bed :happy2
Enjoy the gang today Molls... and the mountain hike RC!

Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-February 2018
Ha.. i read back late last night, just before RC was going waking up. Must have dreamt about JC driving her white van!
I’m with you on not driving big yolks Jacks. Not that pushed driving the car, but no avoiding it! Friend had a bad accident many years ago, does not help!
I used to shit myself when I’d have to drive after a lot of wine the night before. So irresponsible. Another reason to never ever go back there!AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-February 2018
I loathe driving............it was a necessity when the kids were younger.........they went to a village school about 4/5 miles up the road and no buses..........then when they got into middle school did a couple of years until they decided it wasn't the thing to have your mammy picking you up and they were near the metro used to go home with the rest of the little snot bags.
I'm well sure before I got rid of my car I was over the limit a lot of mornings.
Right on with the day..............It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-February 2018
It's truly Baltic Tabs -- more snow coming this week allegedly -- -
re. the driving - well I was reared in a house where to not drive was considered a disability almost - Dad was 20 years older than mum so he knew she'd more than likely be widowed young and he made her drive - she hated it for a long time but being widowed at 43 she was more than appreciative that he'd pushed her.. COULDN'T imagine being dependant on people driving me hither and yon tbh - not sure I'd be too keen on a big white van - but hate being dependant on anyone. AND I loathe abhor despise public transport - good or otherwise - so yeah - driving imo is an essential - certainly in my life - got my full license at 18 and been driving ever since. MIL who's been recently widowed has her DIL (my work colleague) tormented with little whines of 'oh I'm not really hungry - just as well cos I can't get shopping now Mick is dead and I don't drive' -- nudge nudge wink wink -- think DIL is s'posed to just drive her everywhere on call regardless of whether she's at work or not... I never want to be that person...!!!!!
Mind you - back in the day I used to wish I didn't sometimes cos I was ALWAYS (ironic or WHA???) the designated driver..... how ridiculous was that.. seriously!!!Contentedly sober since 27/12/2011
