Any idea where Endeavour comes in - is it young Morse or ridiculously young actor playing at being John thaw?

      Never watched it.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Sorry Molls, that was a bit curt......Shaun Evans returns as young Endeavour Morse. Its on ITV here at 8pm.

Himself is home after his day playing a truck driver and he's buzzing.

Alas... Sunday nights, once a joy when i was but a little tiny boy (due to Sunday evening family tv - mind 80's Narnia anyone?!), but now awaiting having to get up to... go to work.

OK. It's not that bad. In fact, it's a short week teaching as Thu & Fri are packing days and Mon/Tue are holidays. Woot!

Endeavour is an odd name is it not? So is Morse. (Though it is a name.) Suppose Endeavour Morse is a bit better sounding than Try Hard Code.

Right, off to get ready for the morning (this includes ironing...).

Am no packing - just responding to previous posts about spending winter months away in sunnier climes. Canny afford a holiday. I mean, teacher's salary on paper is not bad. Yet by 2nd Feb i had the bank calling me to say I had no money in my current account - like, wtf?! (Paying off student loans, and issues with my flat in Aberdeen quickly suck money away quicker than water down a plug hole!)

Right, Monday. To do: a good ol' to do list! Then out to school -

                Laters -

                      Morning campers.
Off to a funeral for me ......... this is as exciting it gets. A day out !!!
Only reason I'm going is that it's in Monaghan and I get to see the countryside .....

Poor Mr D'Arcy  but none of us were ever going to be rich when alcohol is in the equation. 10 Euro a day - at least - on wine ?
Sure you must be saving a bomb not drinking for the month of January :hyper:

I never seemed to have extra money when I quit the booze whereas I had loads when I quit cigarettes- I spose they did cost a lot more- alcohol is still pretty much the same price here as it was 10 years ago - don't understand why cash strapped governments don't lay on the taxes
Enjoy the funeral - my worst nightmare! Careful or you'll turn into one of those old ones - coffin chasers:welldone:

Morning folks, I did the maths recently and should be better off to the tune of at least a couple of grand in the last year, but I can't for the life of me understand where that has been gobbled up. Jeez I couldn't afford to drink now, how did I then? Just another of life's great mysteries that is proving elusive to my understanding but I should be getting used to that.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

                              Morning troopers,
Here's a thought............perhaps after we stop drinking we tend to treat ourselves. I know I started binge shopping. Make up, clothes, better food (I'd started eating properly). With the ciggies I put the money in a tin and it paid for two holidays (nothing fancy) and a fair bit of Christmas. And I wasn't nipping into the shop to buy 20 ciggies and the while I'm here I may as well get some shopping mode. Saved a fortune.

Didn't get to sleep 'til the end of the Superbowl............I was on my way when I saw there was only a point between them and just 5 minutes to go. Forgot that with American football 5 minutes can last nigh on an hour.

And a happy dance for our Tony.......

Good Morning, Army!!!!! WOW, Do I feel GREAT! I slept in until 5:30 AM. That translates to 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep. I feel like I can achieve anything I want today!:happy2:

Tony-Congratulations on 30 Days!! :sohappy: That is fantastic! I always enjoy your posts.

Jackie-you actually watched the Super Bowl? I am so glad Philadelphia won. Tom Brady of the Patriots needed to come down a notch. Cocky little snot.

OK, now....I really do think you Army people are amazing but please don't complain about the cold to me. LOL. It is currently -11 degrees F in Wisconsin which is -23.9 C. Hahaha. Don't you want to move to Wisconsin? We have a wind chill warning here.

Off to work. Have a lovely Monday, everyone!:heartbeat:
