to all the Army Angels!Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Everday's Valentine's Day in our house...........
As for the marked down flowers, my equivalent will be Easter Monday when all of a sudden Easter Eggs are half price - or less  'Nuff chocolate to get me through to... Tuesday :haha:
At uni this evening - a philosophy-with-children network i belong to - my MEd mentor said it may be possible to transfer my credits and fees over to the EdDoc - and do a doctorate instead. If i can find thousands of pounds to do it, the mental energy, time and dedication... Dunno.
...just checked fees... looks like it'd be about £4500 a year :egad: I'd need to do it for 4 years (it's 5 P/T, but i could go into yr 2 i think...) May have to rethink that idea...........Last edited by RunningCourage; February 14, 2018, 04:30 PM.

Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-February 2018
Morning all.
Happy Valentines for yestee !
Satzy, I am delighted you have some peace and the young man is able to think clearly. I do hope this is the turning point for him.
RC, I say do the doctorate. What an amazing opportunity!
I have an abscess in my jaw and it has been there a few weeks. The dentist has decided I need route canal work in 2 teeth. Yesterday I started the process. He started drilling but there was a live nerve that was agony each time he got near. He kept on adding more and more injection until he had probably put about 8 into the bone and I was still in a lot of pain. In the end he couldnt finish the work cos the pain was so bad. At one point he could not easiy remove the needle and had to really tug it out of my bone!! So I am bruised to buggery as well. I might need to have a facial nerve block next week which I am really scared about as your face collapses like you have had a stroke. Anyway I ended up buying some painkillers because once the injection wore off the nerve and where he had been working was so painful and the infection must have made it 10 times worse. I am upset that I have done this but not sure what else I could do. He has put me on antibiotics to try and clear the abscess. I took 2 yesterday and they did help. I bought a small box and am only going to take the dosage allowed and stop when it all settles down. I need to put this out there to make myself accountable and make sure I dont slip back to my old ways. Thoughts and advice welcome
