Feeling utterly shafted. Asked HT at work about when Heads of schools put in the numbers they need for the next academic year - openly angling for a FT position at our new school - with staff I have worked with for the last 3 yrs... to be told that I probably won't be there as she had a full compliment of FT staff. Like... FFS. AND a teacher is being brought in in a few weeks as FT - and because i'm PT it makes it difficult for them to just say "be FT here" as obviously that impacts on the there school...

Just feel that the HT has not considered/thought about the impact for her current staff (me) who have been committed to the school - does that stand for FUCK ALL nowadays?!?

Just want to drive far away and not come back.

Morning folks, regarding growing older, I suppose if we allow ourselves to wallow about it then yes we probably do mourn our youth (wasted on the young? Haha) to some extent if we are being honest. Personally not being able to physically do things as well as I used to, less stamina, eyesight getting worse etc does suck but then again once we are reasonably healthy then my attitude is any day I awake the right side of the turf is a good day. Speaking of health I have to go into hospital next week for a minor (hopefully) operation, trying not to think about it tbh as any operation carries risks.
In other news my job is looking increasingly precarious, the latest saga is not everyone got paid yesterday as there weren't enough funds available, not effected personally, yet, but I wonder where we go from here.

Mary adverts dot ie have a section for pet adoption, always people with kittens and cats looking for good homes on there, if it is any easier for you.

Morning all. Hope operation goes well Tabs. Not a fan of hospitals and one of the reasons I don’t look forward to getting old. Sorry about work RC and you too Tabs. Kittens are less work than puppies Mary so good choice.

Nothing much planned for today. Daughter getting ready to go back to uni tomorrow so will be getting bits and pieces for her. Glad to be starting the day bright eyed and not hungover.

One of my favourite old ladies passed yesterday. RIP Maureen. Had MS but NEVER heard a moany word from her - always smiling. Early life with an alcoholic husband who she adored - but who died young.
And a Thorn Bird type relationship with a priest in England :hug:

Only relation is a brother who lives in Spain - who waited 2 weeks to fly in last night - AFTER she had passed. All bluster - didn't like him. dodge.com

Bit calmer - actually, bit feckin knackered cos just run/rambled/hiked/walked 19miles and me shoulders ache - it's where I think i hold all my tension - so back to SIT down for the rest of the day :thumbsup:

[MENTION=9094]satz123[/MENTION] - it is good to hear stories about nice old people. I don't mean that to sound patronising, simply that it can inspire to how I should live/behave NOW if I want tp be like that when I is older. Good to hear about the young 'un. Fingers crossed it sticks.

Didn't sleep well last night - woke up at 1am with a couple having a yelling match on the street. Now, I live on the second floor and wear earplugs and my window was fully shut but still their arguments blew up and into my bedroom. Nae happy. Cue - 2hrs of tossing and turning with my head thinking about school and yesterday's revelation. Pfffttt!

So may find i fall asleep this arvo.....zzzz.....

We need to start guided meditation RC - it apparently takes the mind away from those bad thoughts - that attract more bad thoughts & round & round.
I'm deffo going to look into it - because I found the more I thought about Young Satz and talked about it the more shit I attracted via Law of Attraction.
Which by all accounts is an ACTUAL REAL law of Physics :egad:

Let's do it! I try to do 5 mins of my own diy-meditation each morning - but it aint guided! And my thoughts usually take over and I start planning my breakfast, or planning a lesson, or telling my HT she's feckin useless manager... And i'm lazy to do it at any other time. But yeah, let's look into it. And i agree re the Law of Attraction - which begs the question, as I look around me, do I like what I attract?!

ERRRMMM bit deep for me - simple soul me! however I loved guided meditation - absolutely loved it - there was a German counsellor down in the treatment centre - but she had the gentlest voice - I could have listened to her all day - so the days she did it - what a wonderful start to the day -
