Toe Knee : Young Satz off sauce since last Tuesday ..... he physically couldn't do it for much longer I'd say. I weaned him off on Sunday & Monday with beer at home.
We've been here before
Doing all the right things now. Aftercare , AA, Gym, running ................... just needs a job now.

That's fantastic news Satz, i'll bet you are really mixed between delight he's off the grog and worry about a slip... it's strange looking at a quit this way...it gives a perspective on what our families and friends go through with us!

Bit horrible out there.
Well this not drinking world is just brilliant.. met up with 3 buddies in the rustic stone. 2 not drinking (me and another), no one battered an eyelid. Waft of red wine did trigger a fleeting thought, but it was just that.. lovely night. And if I was drinking, the slow pace of the pair of drinkers would have Driven me demented, freedom from that alone is worth every bit of effort.
By the way, Thank you guys for letting me out for the night :haha:

Read that about Emma Hannigan... heart breaking. Growing old is a privilege.

Off visiting and other stuff with reluctant kids.

Mrs. A - great to see you back - hope you had a lovely restful holiday!!

Mary - that slow-pace drinking used to drive me nuts as well. I could never figure out how someone could make a glass of wine last half an hour. Mine lasted ten minutes at most, and that was when I was pacing myself. Good grief!

Satzy - delighted to hear that young Satz is once again on the straight and narrow. Hopefully he will stay that way. It certainly sounds like he is making a renewed effort!

Arsey - best of luck with the teaching - hopefully something will change for the better.

KTAB - any chance of you freelancing. I think you used to do that a bit or maybe I've got you mixed up with someone else. Anyway - same thing goes for you - hopefully there will be more positive things in the very near future.

Tony - hope all goes well with the new place. Fingers crossed

Rusty - lovely day here but no walk for me. I took advantage of it and washed a lot of clothing and bedding. Nothing like the smell of sheets dried outside!

Tomorrow is Ash Monday here in Greece. Traditionally it is the day that huge amounts of Lenten food is devoured. No animal or dairy products but lots of seafood and such. I think we will be partaking of much less this year as I can't be bothered making a huge meal. Lazy cow that I am...

Very late check in.......S&H and his GF were here for a late lunch......his GF's on this 'I'm allergic to everything diet'........things like sprouts, carrots, greenery.........amazing that it doesn't include roast potatoes, mashed potatoes and Yorkshire puddings.

Finally got something that looks vaguely like a square......if I'd studied this hard at school I'd have been something very clever......like a rocket scientist

back to school - NOT the other one where I felt so utterly shafted by on Friday (I work there Wed/Thu/Fri) but to my Mon/Tue school. Actually looking forward to it a wee bit!
