Morning early birds,
Found the perfect padlock for Joe's shed

Welcome home, Our Whizzy.

I'll be doing a lot of the 'I' word today.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Hello Army!!

Not much action in the barracks but thought I'd drop in for a quick "hello!". That "i" word is something I am no longer familiar with. None of my clothes need any kind of special care and Mr. Stirly takes care of his own now that he's retired. Crikey, I used to iron everything, even underwear and the small washcloths. No longer. Got much better things to do with my time. Like today, I'm decluttering. It's a holiday here and a cloudy day so I'm tossing stuff in the bin. :spin:

Hope everyone is having a good start to the week. Catch up with youz laterz....... :hyper:

Yikes! The damn iron is making it's way back to the army posts! Still can't find mine, but then again, I'm not looking too hard. If we ever meet in person, I'll be the one in wrinkled clothes! :eek-new:

Jude58, LOL....ironing! Yup, I do own an iron and an ironing board and fortunately, they don't get much use.:happy2: I would rather pay a dry cleaner....I know...$$$$. My sister will NOT iron, and it's a good thing her husband LOVES to do his own ironing...otherwise...he would be shirtless running his 565 person company. HAHA

While I was working & MrS was not - he took over the washing & ironing. Happy Days
Now he still does it kinda automatically ...... I actually cannot remember the last time I ironed.

But ... I do HATE creases - I won't wear clothes with wrinkles in - so Judy I may not be able to talk to you if we meet

Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-February 2018

Evening folks,

Back at school. A 'normal' day inasmuch as the school was working in was not the "other" new school. Though I did send a good luck text to staff I knew (NOT HT) for the first day with the kids. Seems they all survived. Apparently I have a couple of "runners" (kids that... well... run from the class) in my Friday P3 class - something to look forward to.

Meanwhile I have a dubious looking WhatsApp message asking me to call the guy owns the flat below mine in my property in Aberdeen (mind that saga?!). He sent a photo - seems from the photo that there is ANOTHER leak... F*** f***ity f*** (if that is the case).

Apparently shit things happens in 3's... so I'm awaiting my third. Like breaking my leg this week before a marathon this Sunday or something equally frustrating!

As for Irons - I do, but I'm not good. Sorry Satz, no matter how much I iron, I still iron creases into the creases i ironed out.

could be a metaphor for my life?! :egad:

The woman next door used to run the iron over towels:egad:

Evening -- 'fucking POXY' I think are the words Jackie's searching for Arsey!!!!

but a bit like Jackie says - we DO come out the other end - felt like I was in quicksand a bit the last few months - but it IS the other end..(I HOPE!) Mind you - I sort of feel you are certainly getting more than your share of landlordy problems!

Joe has just got a new bank card................................. THE END (it could be.... the last time he had money - within WEEKS - we had NO money!!)

Molls, that reminds me of getting some money out of the hole in the wall and Jenny asking me ........how much did we win? A long conversation ensued about how Mammy and Daddy's wages went in there and when that was spent we got no more.

No battering... tho I would add to the cliche that much of that depends on whether we look at and learn from the tasks that are sent to task us.

The flat isn;t (fingers crossed) so bad - spoke to the owner of the flat below and we think (hope) that the second leak is residual water from the first one - as I have had the corroded pipes and basin fixed/replaced.

What's wrong with running iron over towels...? my towels always softer after an iron (when i did iron them) (which was twice in 2012)

I just ate far too much toast... slouched and bloated... not conducive to a comfortable nights sleep. Oh dear...:newhere:

But more than an iron needed for these

Cliche : What doesn't kill us - makes us stronger (sorry)
Don't dwell on it Mr D'Arcy - remember the LoA
So it's residual water - of course it is
