Snowday! we are shut until the end of the red alert :haha: gutted so I am!

Well I raised my eyes so high when Mr M came home with the kids one day after Christmas after buying a load of toboggans for a euro in Smyths.. I am now sick of the words 'Told ya'..

Good for you Tabbers.. You can play around with the settings etc. to make sure you dont get bombarded with rubbish. Might come to nothing, but sure, its a step.

Snow coming down in Sheets now. Ventured out to the butchers who has been flat out all day.

Your right not to take any risks Satz, I wouldnt drive in that (Mr M drove). How do they staff places in weather like this - I suppose its rare enough, but still, huge pressure on nursing homes, hospitals etc..

Evening again - only now getting over the excitement of being at home and being PAID!!! Doesn't happen too often I can tell you! I was gonna say it was far from toboggan you woz reared a Mháire -- but it was for me --- trays were as exotic as me and mine ever got

Have you had thunder yet?? The sky's been so many shades of purple its bizarre.
Even Mr JC and his boss left early :egad:.......it must be bad. Only took him two hours to get in.

No -- no thunder here - but it's truly bizarre sort of weather -- it's absolutely BALTIC - and a mad wind - and now - just out of the blue - a huge full moon appears in a clear area of sky with MAD black clouds around it..
Think we were nearly the only people in Dublin working today

i am greedy. very happy though i am that we have had to day - and will have tomorrow off too, I am now wishing I could've Friday off as well. :haha:

Looking forward to luxuriating in bed and pretending it's a sunday morning tomorrow.

yeah - well we are closed Friday -- BUT -- Friday is my day off anyway - so will be in work on Sat - the other half of the staff -the other shift - lucky buggers are off till Monday...

Howling wind here and the snow has not let up. Feels almost like another country... Yer moon sounded splendid. JC's dark clouds sounded ominous. It's like we're creating a scene from Mordor - now, where is Gandalf? :haha:

and I shit you NOT -- think I'd be better at work -- Joe is a bit pedantic -- takes half an hour to pay a bill over the phone - you know -- and little silences where people say 'hello hello - are you still there?' - anyway - to cut a long story short - we have a shower that used to double as a steam room - the steam room part has been broken and unfixable for 10 years - obsolete -- he headed up to the bathroom shop that fitted it and (reading between the lines) bored the salesman into submission so that the conversation culminated in said salesman saying 'ah look - the installation is just like a big kettle - you could fix it yourself' and sent him off...........................

fast forward to today -- he YouTubed it.... when I came home --- and I TRULY do shit you not -- he had bought a deep fat fryer -- filled it with water - plugged it in in the shower (did have a circuit breaker but..........) and was installed steaming himself from the water in the fryer --- oh latherin HEART --- he is UNBELIEVABLE:egad:

Best thing we've found for the deep fat fryer is either to leave it in its box and go to the chippie.
