    Super Sober Shout Out Sunday 18th February 2018

    I'd like to see a big SUPER SHOUTY OUTY SUNDAY from members who have been here a while, those just starting out again and those just starting out for the very first time.............just do that happy dance.........


    SHOUT IT LOUD AND SHOUT IT PROUD. STAY STRONG AND KEEP THINKING POSITIVE ONE AND ALL. LET'S GIVE OUR BEST TOGETHER

    Don't be shy and give it a try...........remember each and everyone one of us here started with a day one!!!!!

    Let the time and date calendar take the strain from your brain when you're counting.....Date Duration Calculator: Days between two dates

    For me its3149 days from the start date or 8 years, 7 months, 12 days including the end date.............
    It could be worse, I could be filing.

      1851 for me.

      As as I did the calculator, I flashed back to doing it early on, seeing what felt like really tiny numbers pop up. Sometimes they seemed so pathetically small, I didn't even post them in JC's lovely weekly thread. But even then, I felt a glimmer of hope knowing that if I just stuck with it, they would grow and grow to the point where I barely noticed a sober day anymore.

      And they did grow enough that I don't think about my total AF time much at all - but I still notice and am grateful for each and every AF day.

              If I'm honest NS I didn't like to count days - it seemed to me it was either:
              a) I didn't expect to succeed
              b) I felt that counting days was a waste unless there's an end point .. and if there was an end point ? :egad:


              Now I use the calculator when I want to be awed and realise how far I've come from Day 1.

                            Shouting out LOUD AND PROUD!! Day 863 for me!!!! inkele:

                            I, too used to think that counting days was pointless and never did it. Almost turned my alkie nose up at those who did. This time was different. It was when I saw that I was 7 days sober, then 10 days, then 20 days and finally one month that I realized how very satisfying it is to see that number get bigger and bigger. When I started posting on the Sunday thread, I had the lowest number of sober days for quite some time - it seemed like everyone had thousands of days and I was at the 6-month mark then. Now, I am thrilled to see members like Toe-Knee and Arsey and Seeker and Guitarista and everyone else chalking up the days and to see their numbers getting bigger! G-Man - that 6-month mark is just around the corner and I know it's a biggie for you - keep on keepin' on!!!!!! Congrats to all!! :flowerspin:

                              I am so confused - usually Ava is here first to count for me. Here you go, Ava - SHOUTING OUT 1,539 gratefully sober days!

                              I am a counter, so I counted from Day 1 - so amazing to see that number grow. Congratulations everyone!
