    Something Broken

    SOMETHING BROKEN

    There’s something broken in me
    Time passes by so quickly
    There’s always tomorrow
    There’s always tomorrow

    There’s something broken in me
Once upon a time I dreamed
    There’s always tomorrow
    There’s always tomorrow

    There’s something broken in me
Love once flowed in my rivers
    There’s always tomorrow
    There’s always tomorrow

    There’s something broken in me
    Compassion once radiated in me
    There’s always tomorrow
    There’s always tomorrow

    There’s something broken in me
    Where is my dream
    There’s always tomorrow
    There’s always tomorrow

    There’s something broken in me
    Where is my hope
    There’s always tomorrow
    There’s always tomorrow

    There’s something broken in me
    Time has passed
    There is no tomorrow
    There is only today

    Re: Something Broken

    Hi Crusader and welcome

thanks for a lovely post. I read this and those words used to be me. Now the first line especially reads for me; "there is nothing broken" and that has come from sobriety. Never in my dreams did i expect life to change so drastically when i stopped drinking and i never thought i could stop drinking. tody i live life as i should have done 15 years ago and you can too.

Believe you can and make yourself known on here. The newbies nest is a great place to start where there are people of varying stages of sobriety from day 1 to years. I hope you join us.

      Re: Something Broken

Thank you, available. I did post in the two other threads, I believe. One of them was the Newbies nest. I left the message below over there for now and will return with a better reply when I am rested and feeling better.

"I loved reading all the replies in the threads I posted to, and give you all a big thank you and hug for taking the time to respond to them. I am very very tired, so I will postpone a proper reply until I feel more rested. Tomorrow will be day 6, and I wanted to be sure I let you all know I appreciate your words. They deserve a better response than I can muster up currently."

I wished being broken was enough to stop the madness. Feel like I died a thousand yrs ago. Big part of me just doesn't care anymore. Glad your here and hope you find love and support.

Morning Wildflowers. I'm only on day 7. If you are drinking, join me. This is a big fight for me. I'm around drinkers and full of pain, but you can jump on with me. I've been struggling for a long time. I post in two other sites and left this here when I decided to post. I was lurking for a few weeks. I decided to add this to my plan. I'm not really posting to specific people, but taking it all in to help me succeed. Come along. You have nothing to lose if you don't care anymore, but you really do! I know that because of what I've gone through. If you get a chance, watch the movie 'Sea of Trees'. It's about people who want to die, but find they don't when they are facing death. It may shake something up inside of you.

          Love and hugs to you.

And an edit: If you are still drinking, know that your head is not thinking with clarity. It will tell you that you don't care even louder.
