Good Morning, Amy!

I have read EVERY post re: the snow. Usually, here in the Midwestern US, we have tons of snow, but yesterday, it was 61F and sunny! LOL. Ah, but we are not done with winter yet...not by a long shot.

yup - here for chat - the alternative is to eat my son like Benjy has. :victorious: - it's not so much the snow this time apparently - it's some lunatic storm coming in from Europe meeting a 'polar vortex' -- not much evidence yet tbh - few little flakes falling and a few inches of snow - shag all wind which is supposed to be going to whip up snow drifts over our heads... - I'm seriously doubtful!!

Molly-:yay:Congratulations on Joe finding a way to get your steam and deep-fryer fueled shower going and completely usable. He should be on HGTV or the DIY channels here in the states. I laughed SO hard at that story!

I've got some long life soya milk and some almond milk.......not sure how they'd be in coffee..

Snow and ice have grounded Atlanta and South Carolina for weeks at a time. All you can do is sit and stay put. Good thing you have almond milk. I never put it in milk, though. I like my coffee strong and black....think Colombian drug lord kinda coffee. Hahah!

Off to the gym for some exercise. Overdid it yesterday on crisps ( I love that word) and chocolate pie. :-(

I was nearly hoping my Joe rant would die with the Feb thread --- oh well - he used always say he'd get dementia as soon as he retired (a workaholic all his life) so now every time he does something barking mad - and he has spent all his LIFE doing barking mad things - think eccentric -- now he just says calmly and resignedly (with a seriously funny twinkle in the eye) 'ach it's the dementia you know' - UTTERLY inappropriate - but as my own Ma had her wrestle with dementia I think I am allowed find him funny!!!

Molly-I think you're allowed to find him funny, too. Why not?? He means no disrespect. Hahah. So have you tried out the shower? I don't eat deep-fried food but my brother-in-law made a deep-fried turkey for Thanksgiving one year and it was delicious! Why would you want that story to die on the February thread? It's hilarious and I need to replace all the hours I spent bawling over my mum with laughing about someone using a deep fryer to steam themselves clean...ooh his skin must look amazing with all his pores opened up. Hey, you could use it to steam your clothes in lieu of an iron! Haha.

Ok, it is time to get out of nightie, bathrobe and fuzzy slippers and must head to the gym before I head for the fridge...again. SIGH

oh rusty - you have me laughing at him again - bless him! His latest rant now is to get the pond defrosted so the birds can drink something - he has gone out with pots - kettles and balls -- I'm not asking and I'm not looking - I am now on the couch with my snowman hoodie on and not moving for NO ONE!!! I have NO problem heading for the fridge but the gym?? never never never!!!!! enjoy yerself :happy2:

Grrrr....my cat just flung herself onto my computer and deleted my entire post. Molly, I think that you should post more stories about "The adventures of Joe." (just don't let him read any of it.) I am still laughing over the deep fryer!

The past week here in N.Y. has been pretty mild, and I had hopes that Spring was finally arriving. Well, apparently she took a detour and ended up lost. Winter storm warnings posted with over a foot of snow (30 cm plus) expected by this time tomorrow. Might have to eat the cat.....
