Re: Join up! Army against the grog!!! March 2018

You know, I never really added it up..........I very rarely brought a bottle home from work as the cheapest at the time would have been around £5 and I could get two for £4 in Tesco. So even then it was quantity over quality.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

jaysus if I'd been English I'd have been an AMAZING alkie:congratulatory: - cheapest bottle of wine here was probably bout 8 euros back then and at that stage the wine was only the top up of the hidden bottle of vodka.... crikey - it pains me to think about it! and of course I had to have my bottle of white and Joe had to have a bottle of red.... so - do the sums!!!

            Night troopers.

I know a fella here who is 46. He's an alkie and lives in an aged care nursing home. The booze is likely responsible for his health issues. He works part time when he can, has 2 teenage kids, and currently trying to give up the grog. He is visibly an unwell man. You can see very obviously that his only hope for a few more years on the planet is to totally abstain from the sauce. 46 ain't old. Then i think about our younger folk in their 20's and 30's who are in serious trouble with liver/health issues already in their young lives. Christ! I am a lucky one.

            Goodnight friends.

Id believe that too.. Kids grown up and they dont have to show a good example or hide it anymore. No idea they were being shipped off to nursing homes!
                        Thats very sad Mr G...

Off to do more very tiring things but very grateful that Im not heading for a nursing home instead. X

That sounds a nightmare. Are you allowed to taser them if they get out of hand?
