the hardy Scots huh!!!??? d'ya know - all day I was wondering why we were 'curfewed' - but I'm getting an idea now - - everyone settled in tho - house warm and cosy and now I'm orf to bed --- and guess what?? No work till MONDAY!!! happy out I am!!

I think they got the timings a bit off - Red Alert pushed out to 6pm tomorrow last I heard.
So that pushes us into Saturday not looking great either.
But apart from lotsa snow - we haven't seen the MAD - don't go out or die - type weather YET !!

Its windy out.. but not nothing bonkers yet. Yes, red warning keeps getting longer!
Just lost our electricity, wonder if Molly has too, she’s not far. Phone will die soon, back.. at some point!).

Good morning. Just checking in while I still have power. It’s still pelting down snow here and there is a good accumulation from last night. Have not heard any news yet. At this stage wish it was over. Keep safe everyone.

Good morning rustytops and the rest of you troopers,

Snow seems to have abated from snowing here... but with no likelihood of temp getting above 0, the snow that has fallen - couple of feet in places - looks likely to remain.

What i don't like about it is that I can't get out and run so easy... and the swimming pool is closed too, my normal wake-up activity on a Friday... But that said, trying a bit of Satzuma Gratitude (Satz-Gratz) and thankful that, hey, I aint gotta be in that school, I get to tidy the flat (a WEE bit - nae proficient at keeping clean :haha, read, slouch, relax. It's like a passport for laziness for a few extra days

Morning - no - still have power - must be linked to a different grid a Mháire! maybe Meath rather than Dubbers as we're so far up... I dunno - still going anyway - busy house - Joey and baba and partner are here - no heat in theirs... but bless them they are all cosied up in Joey's new bedroom - Princess is getting her porridge - and except a few annoying calls to her mum to maybe go to work.... they are happy out! Can't imagine any employer thinking she could make it anywhere - it is severe now - feet deep

I'm going to Tesco if yis want anything......if I don't get out of the house I may go crackers and the milk's turned..........the weather its still bad, its freezing but not as bad as it was and no snow 'til this afternoon.

Molls. I remember the snow of 1982 - young Satz was only a few months old.
Packed up both and 'round to child minder. She sent us back home.
It's either naïvety or hoping for a break for a few hours in work from the 24/7 of young babies

A has gone to work - she's a dental nurse and apparently 'essential services' -- mmmmm - last place SHE wanted to be but.... yeah I was pregnant with my eldest then - stayed at home for 3 shagging weeks - heaven!!!!
