Well back from Tesco........its as cold as cold can be but I have never been so grateful to get out of the house. That parka I bought is paying for itself......got the essentials........milk, dog chews, couple of magazines, toffee popcorn, liquorice allsorts and some Fry's chocolate cream bars.....that should keep me & Bess going for a couple of hours.

Today's lunches at schools look positively insipid. And the "homemade" muffins taste like flour. YUCK!
Haven;t been out since this morning and am getting cabin fever already. But will just wait it out... think a run is on tomorrow morning, even if it's on the roads
No more snow, just cold. And people apparently getting silly over the last of the bread, greedily grabbing it as if it;s never to be seen again. They could make it... Thankfully i freeze the stuff going cheap so have muffins and crumpets galore

oh ffs -- Joey was dropping A to work this morning and went into local supermarket... came home and said all the 'foreigners' were buying the bread and milk and none left - felt uneasy at potential racism going on in his head - queried what precisely sort of 'foreigners' were they - (this is a 23 year old living in an extremely multi-cultural town) he said they sounded like sort of 'nordies' - (Northern Ireland to me and you) - cracked up I did - first time I ever thought of them as foreigners:welldone: Mind you - no idea why the 'nordies' were so far from home on such a shit day haha!!!
yes Arsey - cabin fever here for sure - Joe and I just planning an 'outing' for tomorrow - hopefully something more exotic than Tesco. ;-)Contentedly sober since 27/12/2011
